Bringing Love Back

In the office organizing fall workshop, events & classes and meeting to plan & create 2015’s Winter Schedule, my thoughts go back to setting Inside Awareness goals for 2014. (defined below) It appears this intention was set and forgotten in the blur of  living my business. Reflecting and an aha moment!  Bringing Love Back and my mind goes to:

  • Yesterday, (06/23) and receiving an invitation to place a colorful heart shaped labyrinth on the lawn of our B.C. Legislature in support of Peace, followed by an offer to film it to show on local T.V. Station’s regular programming
  • Last Saturday (06/21) supporting World Refugee Day with a heart shaped labyrinth at celebrations held at Main Branch of Victoria’s Regional Library
    • Beginning of June hosting a Labyrinth Workshop and hearing how a participant will use if for resolving differences in long-standing conflict.
    • Creating heart shaped labyrinth at Creative United Festival
    • Introducing Inside love techniques  at a #yyj International Woman’s Day Event
    • Creating first heart-shaped wedding labyrinth for couple’s ceremony.
    • Sharing heart-shaped labyrinth at James Bay Community School Event.
    • Creating a new template for a heart-shaped ceremonial labyrinth with designer and placing it for the first time on #yyj’s Willows Beach.
    • Creating a new series of workshops and classes with a specific  focus on love:  finding love, speaking love and creating love ceremonies!

Last years intention has become this years reality.  Focus has naturally shifted deeper into inner love and beauty, loving kindness, loving relationships and heart connected communities and heart focused ecology!

    Bringing ‘Love’ Back Campaign

    Bringing Love Back!

What is your definition of love?

Googling it, here at Inside we  find the following:

    Definition of love

     or:

    • Love is an incredibly powerful word. When you’re in love, you always want to be together, and when you’re not, you’re thinking about being together because……..
    • ……a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. 2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend
    • ……..a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. : attraction that includes sexual desire : the strong affection felt by people who have a romantic relationship.

At Inside we have come to describe love as respect, acknowledgment, consideration, affection, trust, safety  support, kindness, being seen and heard, to matter, equality and mutuality, faith, believing, empathy, understanding, autonomy, independence, power in one’s world! To value and to be valued!

    Bringing 'Love' back with Self-Love
    Bringing ‘Love’ back with Self-Love

Here at Inside the premise is that love’s quality comes from inside and is supported by outside influences.  The love one feels for oneself is a personal achievement that begins with self-value first and then with skill development to support an environment that then supports self-love.  You too can learn the skills to create an environment that loves  and supports you.  Even in conflict!  Yes you have read this right!

    Bringing 'Love' Back - Influences
    Bringing ‘Love’ Back – Influences

When one meet their own needs for the above values it creates an organic compassion and willingness to have empathy for others.  Rumi’s quote,

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field, I will meet you there!”

    SAMSUNG
Bringing ‘Love’ Back – Self Expression

Love can be shown for oneself and others and is not dependent only upon intimate relationships.  Love is not simply between two lovers.  It is a natural skill of humankind shared with one another used with the skill of  discernment.  Vulnerability mixed with passion  that you extend to your lover is different than the love you show your children.  The loving kindness you extend to yourself and others outside of your immediate family can vary and is again different!

At Inside the main principle is that peace, harmony, joy and success begins within one’s balance of mind, body and faith.   These qualities are only available when conscious awareness is focused upon one’s automatic behaviors joined with an attitude of commitment for making change.  Our programs are designed for learning beyond habitual understanding and automatic behavior.  It is designed for waking up your desire and passion.  Techniques are to integrate learning, thinking, communication and body movements.  These are skills for life and allow for a self-image of being who you want to be in the world, not who you don’t want to be!

Fall transition ideas for personal change and creating goals through your closet!

20131026_125510Today, Oct 26, and only now do I find myself transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall!  Do you go through your bedroom seasonally?  If not, you should try it.  It is a great way to review your wardrobe and downsize to make room for something new to come into your life.  Perhaps a new relationship!

As most of us  are no longer on the farm and living the natural cycle of the seasons,  this is a nice ritual to engage in for connection and getting InTouch to the passing and upcoming seasons.

The advantages are that each season, or bi-seasonally, we are touching the insides of our closets and drawers and the tops of our dresser.  This allows us to engage in waking up to what isn’t working for us anymore in a positive light and as I said above, creating space for something new.

Recently, my focus has been on downsizing as the kids get ready to move on with their own lives independently of this parent.  Prior to the first one leaving,  I quietly began to let go of the things we no longer needed and that they have out grown.  Each time spending a few minutes on this I felt  both sad and excited!  Sad at the obvious ending of a cycle we shared together and excited about the space that it is creating for who I will become personally and for who we will become together,  in a different relationship as our roles change.

When the first one left, I had already processed enough sadness, in small  enough bits, that I could manage to be more present with the kid who hadn’t prepared themselves emotionally  ahead of time.  I was able to keep from making it about me.  No guilt, no shame and no control! Empathy and encouragement!

Imagine what you could create for yourself!  Skinny clothes from 10 years ago – get rid of them!  Relax and take the pressure off.  Fat clothes from last year, get rid of them and don’t keep them just in case or you will find yourself back in them for sure!  Take your time and have fun.  Learn to think about what you want to bring in and not what you are trying to hold on to!

Share back some of your transition and being the change ideas with us under comments!  .  For example:

  • Single and making room in your closet for a new relationships
  • Activist transitioning from outside to inside activities and needing a new image
  • Transitioning into a new job or retirement

Importance of our Front Door

‘Find out more on the Importance of our Front Doors in making change’

Renee began to recognize the connection between environment and relationships when she had a design consultation business in the mid nineties.  On consultations she noticed how the environment told the story of the person, couple, family or organization.  There was a noticeable connection in the story, motivation, confidence, empowerment and success.  Find out how to begin to maximize your own story for future success.

Purpose and the New Moon

This week the value changes from purpose into support during a new moon phase.  In Tibetan Buddhism the New Moon is a time to breathe in to a calm state and watch your emotions come and go.  It is also is a time for contemplating your true purpose.

  • Why are you here?
  • What do you want to do with your life?
  • What do you want to accomplish?

If you pause to consider your purpose take a moment and consider your nine live areas.  You may have one or two that speaks to you more loudly that the others, yet give a moments thought to each area. Note that each life area may represent the best seasons for certain changes and ecology focuses.

1.  Fame

  • Ecology Element – Fire Resources
  • Season – Summer
  • Quality – Attachment

2.  Health of Self and Family, Animals

  • Ecology Element – Earth
  • Season – Summer into Fall transition
  • Quality – Submission

3.  Relationship – Intimate

4.  Future, Creativity, Children

  • Ecology Element – Metal
  • Season – Fall (Harvest)
  • Quality – Delight

5.  Helpful People, Community

  • Season – Fall into Winter transition
  • Quality – Vigour

6.  Career

  • Ecology Element – Water
  • Season – Winter
  • Quality- Quietening

7.  Education, Learning, Faith

  • Season – Winter Into Spring transition (Seeds)

8.  Ancestors, Pasts

  • Ecology Element – Forest, Plants
  • Season – Spring (Growth)
  • Quality –  movement

9.  Wealth, Abundance

  • Season – Spring into Summer transition
  • Quality – thriving

“Living your confidence balanced with empathy” in relationships and redefining ego

It takes courage to be heart-centered, confident and self-assured.  It also takes courage to live from this point of independence.

Experiencing any beauty in your relationships begins with your behavioral  patterns and how much inner-confidence and independence you feel balanced together with your ability for being self-assuring.

You may seek change by changing the way you look through diet, clothes, fitness  and re-designing your surroundings.  Do these last when you are affected by your relationships!  What is the first thing you reach for when you have a disagreement or are bored?

What would your personal goal success rate be by starting with inner change support, so what you show on the outside is coming from the inside?

Inside Awareness Methods focus upon seven steps for personal success.  They are integrated into Renee’s coaching and teaching experiences.  Whether you are looking for transformation in your relationships or increasing your  movement abilities,  following these simple steps change how you experience yourself.

SEVEN STEPS TO SUCCESS

  1. Commitment
  2. Intention
  3. Grounding
  4. Practice
  5. Integration
  6. Learning
  7. Conscious Habitual Patterns
If your “search” for change has deepened into a “longing” for change it is time to take grounded and supportive action to make it happen.  Find out more about each one of the these steps by joining Renee at one of her events or by making a direct inquiry.  Email her at renee(at)insideawareness(dot)com or call her at (two, five, zero) three-six-one-seven-five-zero-eight.

“Relationships are not the cars, houses and house keeping”

Imagine facial expressions of anticipation and a long  moment of silence following this comment at our couples gathering.  The reason we had gathered was  to learn more on how to deepen our affectionate and intimate relationships.  I suggested that  these things represent our personal and joint material (physical) wants and needs.

So what is a *relationship?  This is going to be our exploration  over the next six weeks.  Everyone left curious and willing to do their home work for our next Friday night together.

Can you sit down with your partner and discuss what is meaningful and important to you in your relationship without making it about them?

  • Example of what not to say if you want intimate connection:  I want you to be more……., I want you to do………

Can you then hear them share back what is meaningful and important to them in your relationship together without making it about you?

  • Example of what not to say if you want more affection:  You want me to be more……..,  You say I am being………….

Can you both sit with these points, even the differences, and hold them equally as important?

  • Example of what not to say if you want to experience the same bedroom intimacy into real life time or keep experiencing bedroom intimacy!   Trust me if it is not in real life time that will be lost over time too!  What you want is more important than what I want……….., What I want is greater than what you want……

If this is a new concept and your curious, connect.  Ask about this gathering opportunity, upcoming possibilities or  private coaching.

Wikipedia Definition of Intimate Relationships:

.

An intimate relationship is an interpersonal relationship that involves physical or emotional intimacy. Physical intimacy is characterized by romantic or passionate attachment or sexual activity. The term intimate relationship is also sometimes used euphemistically for a sexual relationship.

Intimate relationships play a central role in the overall human experience.  Humans have a general desire to belong and to love which is usually satisfied within an intimate relationship.  Intimate relationships involve physical and sexual attraction between people, liking and loving, romantic feelings, and sexual relationships, as well as the seeking of one or more mates and emotional and personal support for the members.  Intimate relationships provide a social network for people that provide strong emotional attachments, and fulfill our universal need of belonging and the need to be cared for.
