3 Steps to Become who you secretly want to be

Do you secretly long to be like someone you admire and to shy to admit it, even to yourself?  Do you feel shame about your wish?  Do you think that you are not worthy enough?big view goals

In a coaching session I encouraged a client to accept that they would like to be like their favorite leader or guru and embrace it.  I asked them to envision themselves in a similar leadership position with a question, how did they want others to view them?  For example when you think of  Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, or Oprah what character images come to your mind?  I used an example of how I have come know these personalities through media and how I inwardly identify them through association.

  • The momentum of  success can be consciously planned for or unconsciously achieved.  There is always a choice to create a vision that includes your values that contribute to  humanity or a choice to get what you need at the expense of humanity.
3 Steps to Consciously Accepting Your Personal Dreams & Starting to Create Them

 1.  Who you Want to Be Like in This Lifetime

If you stopped to check in and consider who you would like to be like in the future who would it be?  For example, a guru, a doctor, a philosopher, a professor….

2.  What Characteristics would you like to be identified with?

Take a moment to consider this question.  How would you like others to experience you.  When you think of your guru, what images come to mind?  Now translate this into how you want others to  consider you.

3.  Walk and Talk It – Make it your story from the inside

Now carry a vision of who you want to be as you walk forward to manifest this vision.  Holding it consciously within you will begin to walk and talk it!  If you are afraid to accept your dream, you will always be victim to it.

Personal Life Change Coaching Testimonial

I am pleased to receive and share a testimonial from a life coaching student who is transitioning from an orientation of action first to connecting first from the inside to be more present with  their actions.

Renee Lindstrom came into my life over two years ago when I enrolled in her Non violent communications class in Oak Bay.  She quickly became my life coach and everything  has changed dramatically for the better since making that decision. Coming from a very dysfunctional family it took a lot of work and time to overcome fears that were very deepseated and with Renee’s patience and empathy I now have a wonderful  relationship with myself and my children.
If you are ready to do the work and want results I would recommend you meet with Renee and watch your life change for the better.

Personal Life Change Coaching Testimonial

I am pleased to receive a testimonial from a life coaching student who has made tremendous personal progress with the loss of a long marriage.

This has been the most challenging period in my life, losing my entire local family, and I do appreciate all the extra time and energy you have given me in order to help me move through what is every woman’s nightmare – the loss of a long-term marriage; but coming out of it, thanks to your support, with my integrity still intact and perhaps improved?  Your setting challenges for me as I have progressed have been “challenging” to say the least and I still do not know the outcome of how I will be faring, but I am still here, still alive and although not “happy”, am getting through my days and despite physical and emotional problems and my ongoing anxiety, have moved from being completely dependent on a person (my ex-husband) to relying on getting things done myself or finding at least some of the help I need, without him.

You have inspired me to keep on living when I felt all hope was lost.  I am afraid that I will not live up to the task of continuing this, but I am learning more about self-soothing, which I still find very difficult.

Everyone who knows me sees a great improvement in how I handle difficult situations with more grace and efficiency.  People in some of the grocery stores I go to comment on how much better I am looking and happier as well.

Like everyone I have days that are worse than others, but I never thought I would get this far.  You have encouraged me to be my own parent and although I find this challenging, I find I am handling certain situations I never dreamed I would have to handle or be able to handle.

I know I would never have lived through this process of divorce for this long without your help and your confidence in my abilities to cope.

When I first met you, I was not able to function on my own in any capacity, and now I am spending most of my time taking care of the business of life, home-ownership, and self-care with my physical and emotional challenges….and with no support from family.  You have seen me through a period in my life I never thought I would survive.

FAQ:

What are some qualities that  clients would experience in your private sessions that they would remember?

Four qualities that come to mind are:  support, fairness,  patience and empathy.  Whether a movement, empathy or personal coaching  the sessions are grounded upon empathetic listening  and honest expression, (even if hard to hear messages).  Focus is upon the clients, not the practitioner, therefore a direct opportunity for the client can be for a deeper self connection.  In sessions the clients are guided through their experience replacing the teaching model (being talked at)  that culturally we have come to rely upon.  Being told, fixed or having the person we are paying teach us through their experience is so unsatisfactory.  It is the qualities of willingness and courage  that inspire change.  An atmosphere encouraging safe reflection achieves quicker and easier transitions with the least amount of effort!

In Relationships:

Whether sessions include both parties or not, space is held to consider the cause and effect for both sides.  This can deepen conscious understanding of  the root causes of the current experiences.  This process is based upon  empathy to transition out of  right or wrong judgments  for clarity and to regain composure, balance and free will for making difficult choices.  Life changing choices resulting from reaction can create bigger issues, resentment and regret.     Therefore these session need honesty, patience  and empathy to support a smoother transition forward.

In Movement

Once again this process focuses on empathetic listening except now it is focused upon what the body is demonstrating.  Unknown to most in our culture is that our bodies tell our story!  Through observation and felt touch in a safe environment the physical, mental,  emotional and belief aspects of oneself can open to patterns that are no longer working.  It is the awareness of old habits and this new experience that shifts outcomes.  These sessions need honesty, patience and empathy to support clients inner felt sense needs for safety to be met to let go of resistance to go beyond into a new experience in how they feel themselves.

Lifestyle

Clients who are either motivated for change or with chronic conditions will have home or office visits to increase support for life change through their environment.  Like ones body posture the home or office tells a story of one’s experience, yet not one of a personal self-image story.  This is a story of where ones attention is focused in life and how the relationships are  in community that shares the space.  These visits need honesty, patience and empathy to support each member in the process in a way that change can happen.
