Integration of Body, Mind & Spatial Awareness

Pegasus Consciousness Infusion

In meditation an unfamiliar word and image came into the mindful state I was experiencing. The word was ‘Pegasus’ and the vision of  it was in a peaceful atmosphere, not stormy.

Later I looked up the the symbolic meaning of Pegasus and enjoyed reading that Pegasus represents an aspect of what I have been sharing in my teachings for the past decade! Pegasus represents our Hippocampus, the place of memory.  It is the point in our brain which I focus in on by using empathy to transform reactions of survival: fight, flight or fright with calmer states to process emotions and go to the root source of what is causing the reaction. When this happens we remember who we are and where we are going – mindfulness (what is meaningful to us replacing the reaction).  For me this is how we can access our higher self by being able to understand our internal reaction and respond with this conscious awareness versus an automatic reaction that creates separation.

In one write up I read that Pegasus represents communication that transforms evil!  I have enjoyed reading the historical interpretations of Pegasus and coming away with an opinion that it may reflect a new consciousness for many of us.  A consciousness that includes the skill set of meditation in motion (not sitting) to better understand how to transform our own inner agitation that inflicts violence on ourselves and others.  A consciousness that is an infusion of the art of conversation and strong independent support through our greatest support system – our skeleton!

Receiving this new information during the eclipse leaves me hopeful and I feel inspired and more grounded as a mentor in the arts I contribute to the planet! How I would describe the Pegasus consciousness weaved into my practice is that it is the infusion of flexible patterns of movement, process of communicating and environmental influences experienced in the quality of one’s reality.   It is the ease and comfort in one’s interactions, mobility and surroundings.  Each separate focus of my practice is a calming influence on one’s hippocampus (Pegasus)  for settling fight, flight or fright reactions.  Infused it becomes a greater experience.

Understanding how to bridge the divide between interpersonal intelligence and right fighting (and find self esteem in the process)!

pic by Renee Lindstrom

This heart was created spontaneously when I shifted my focus of attention towards my upcoming 2017 communication workshops.  One of my first steps in starting classes in a new year for Think Speak Act and Removing Obstacles to Love (both based on Nonviolent Communication) is to stop and check in to sense inwardly my connection to where I am at and what focus is important to draw the learners attention to. Being  equally dominate kinesthetically and visually, this check in involves sensations (feelings) and images that then go through a process to become a teaching language.  Unlike traditional styles of teaching that have an inflexible structure that restricts the spontaneity a tactile or visual learner needs, the intention of these workshops is to create more balance and understanding between old school doctrine and new age agility training.

Not experiencing education that accommodated my style of learning, finding Dr. Marshal Rosenberg was a huge gift for me to overcome the obstacles of disconnection.  I longed for a bridge to enable me to be who I was on the inside with others in the world I lived in who processed in a mindset of right and wrong.  The difference for me between those with tactile and visual sensibilities and those of a right and wrong thinker is interpersonal intelligence. This is ones ability for effective verbal and nonverbal communication and to note distinctions among others, to have sensitivity to the moods and temperaments of others, and the ability to entertain multiple perspectives.

Thankfully, I discovered this way of communicating as I had children who have my learning styles!

Typically in the past this heart may have had shades of  grey, however, as this practice deepens it is becoming more expressive and vibrant. I am discovering that to be an effective listener,  and to express with confidence and self-esteem that leads to honesty, it is best if one has a deep love for oneself .  Marshall has given me the practice tools to discover how all our differences are gifts to a relationship.  I hope you will join one of my upcoming classes to discover this within yourself!

New babies are borne to be loved in a way that is reflected back by their parents.  One expression of this is when they look into their parents eyes they see mirrored back to them the unconditional love they express in their own eyes when looking at their parents.  However, as we are fitting our life puzzle pieces together, life jostles us around and unconditional love may not be the expressions we see reflected back.  If one has not experienced it, they cannot mirror it.  This form of communication can support you to explore and experience this within yourself.  It will empower you to begin to mirror this back to others in a safe way that is appropriate for the circumstances.  If you have a child you may be more open and vulnerable that with a shop keeper!  If you have a lover you may be more intimate than with your boss or fellow employee.  It is a wonderful skill to begin to have more clarity in all your relationships.  It begins with checking in first to connect to your intention followed by skill development.

Full Moon falls on our study into the value of fun!

moon-quartersThis week began with a growing moon and will end with a waning one.  Today it is a full moon and our suggestions are to connect to your inner sense that the seeds of intention that you planted on the New Moon are now growing!  It is done.  In  Inspired Goal Setting Integration Program we recognize this  phase as a time for appreciation!

At Inside we consider that your deeper more meaningful goals are your Purpose and is what is alive in you.  It is what brings life  to your  self  expression!

This week our suggestion is to explore your purpose in:

  • Movement – where is the starting point of your movement action?
    • explore sensing how you move and follow it back towards where it began!  Remember to get out of your head and don’t think about what you do or explain it. Feel it!   I will have clients and students answer, “I do yoga,” when asked this question.  What I am hoping for, when asking this question, is for inner sensing or checking into ones feelings of the actual movement function!
Classes starting now
  • Communication – what is the intention of what you are about to say?
    • Slow yourself down and think about what you are going to say.  How would you feel hearing exactly what you are going to say from your……..?  What is the main point your trying to express to them?  Your sentences can be the starting points of disconnection (not being heard) or connection (being heard). It all depends upon your intention and your awareness of what you are hoping for.
Classes starting now
  • Lifescape – does your space align with your intention for it?
    • Look at your living space or office and notice if it is supporting what you want to happen in your experience. For example,  if you have a partner and share a bedroom, would you want all your medicine on the dresser to remind you and them of impending illness or would you want something sleek and sexy?
