you are what you eat
Whether eating out or having groceries delivered that include recipe cards, the food one eats is the invisible pathway of immediate experiences that forms future eating habits. The past defines the culture of present food choices and is the source of eating habits and cravings.
Environment created by food choices
When hearing the term environment one’s thoughts may immediately go to the forest, sky, ocean, animals and plants. Many of us many not consider food as part of the environment that influences physical movement, and mental and emotional states of being. Each body part and function requires different nutritional values to reach its potential health and wellness.
Food choices now creates future food choices
Exploring a somatic eating plan cultivates and deepens connection to understanding the influences of food and how one feels physically mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This integration is a pathway to wiser choices, responses and relationships with food, ourselves and nature.
Awareness through Eating
Foods elusive qualities
The focus of Awareness through Eating is on the cultivation of somatic awareness in the relationships between foods and physical, mental, emotional, perceptual, cultural and spiritual bodies. In eastern traditions this awareness is cultivated through a strong pattern of behaviour that has an inward focus of reflection when handling and eating food. Many forms of meditation practice model a direct relationship of appreciation and loving kindness from farm to table in their programs.
In the following two introductory retraining the brain programs the pathway reflects you and your direct experience, versus a set of principles laid down by an authority as being the undeniable truth. The principal here is much like walking an ancient labyrinth to it’s core that stimulates ones direct experience of presence. On the journey out this connected presence is integrated. These easy guides are the labyrinth pathway designed to reduce the inner mental gym of the left brain and increase the right brains need for exploring one’s alignment with nature and self.
