“Resolutions imply resolving conflict!” Did you start your year focusing on your inner conflicts?

The Beauty Path WayDid you begin your new year drawing attention to your inner conflict and what you hate about yourself?  If you did, what do you think your chances of success are when your focus is on what’s wrong with you versus what’s right with you?

Ever consider that you can put your failed resolutions down to the validation that you give yourself when you keep reconfirming in your mind what’s wrong with you.  Is your inner-voice telling you that you are a looser?

If you began to shift your focus slightly perhaps you will shift hopelessness into hope and inspiration.  Beginning with:

  • Asking yourself, “What is my motivation?”
  • and “Do I want  to build my confidence or self-sabotage?”

The path of transition into 2016!

20160101_005326-1

On New Years Eve as the clock transitioned from 2015 to 2016 a few of our community members gathered to walk a a double spiral pathway to represent this shift of time consciously considering our goals for the new year.  The evening began with Circle Dance with Victoria local, Betsy Nuse and moved into time spent considering what transpired for us in 2015 with another Victoria local Sanjara Omoniyi.  Sanjara followed this with a reflection  of what we hoped for in 2016!

Walking a double spiral then became the manifestation of action, creating an attitude of, so it is done!  Our intention has been mindfully balanced with movement to ground it into our experience.   Renee Lindstrom put together the labyrinth event in a way to include a collaboration with those attending, in part, to increase the sense of holding each other equally in a heart-centered way to bring the group into a shared purpose and introduce an experience non-verbal empathy..

This was an event sponsored by our Victoria Church of Truth, Centre for Conscious Community and a collaboration between Betsy Nuse, Sanjara Omoniy , Renee Lindstrom and the Church of Truth.  It was our second New Years Eve event.

Goal setting in 8 easy steps!

Empower your goals by aligning them with the moon

In Inspired Goal Setting Workbook, we suggest that goals offer a focus to achieve something that is meaningful. Acting on a goal creates a boundaries simply from the need to meet them.  For example,  if  one has a goal  to save money to purchase s major item, it would be easier to refrain from buying the dress shoes that may tempt you.  Voicing your goals makes them real and meeting them personally rewarding.  The celebration of meeting them builds inner confidence   It is an empowering experience!

Using these 8 steps encourages ones to slow down and become more mindful of the process of setting goals.  These 8 steps are designed after the 8 phases of the moon’s orbit that includes the growing (waxing moon)  and declining (waning moon) cycles.

The moon is known to influence on our creativity, imagination and ability to attract other people. It affects our moods and can support our daily activities.  The  phases of the moon’s cycle offer a guide to follow and with this support, one can create  a unique and personal goal almanac.  One that aligns with nature and the cosmos.

The Month of Romance and Love: #13 of 14 Tips for finding better love

by Renee Lindstrom, GCFP @ Inside Awareness
Day 13: Positive personalities are most attractive

There are concrete studies that show people with positive personalities are seen as more attractive and more physically appealing than those who are rude, negative and unfair. Is your glass half-full or half-empty?

Love Day 13Today’s Tip:  Explore your own inner messaging patterns.  Do you beat yourself and others up? Imagine how attractive this is to others and commit to change through creative self-development!   Begin your practice now!

“Supply is infinite, but there must be receptivity.  We can have all the supplies we will give.  But that is where the barrier is–the unwillingness to give.  That is where the lack or limitation is.”
Joel Goldsmith

The Month of Romance and Love: #11 of 14 Tips for finding better love

by Renee Lindstrom, GCFP @ Inside Awareness

#11 – The Connection

Your intuition will tell you immediately if you are in company with someone compatible if you are listening to it!  It’s all in the open gestures, comfortable friendliness levels, pitch of voice and eye contact.  One way of noticing compatibility is the language connection.  It’s not about what you say, it’s how you say it that might give you answers to the longevity of this relationship.

Love Day 11Tip of the day:  Within 10 minutes you will know if it will be rewarding to put time and energy into pursuing a relationship.  Notice it their eyes remain in contact with yours.  This indicates they are into you.  Notice if the words they use are the same or similar to yours.  For example:  Do you both use, Great as an expression or a statement such as I am interested in…..  Pay attention to words they use that disturb you.  This will never change it will only become more annoying!

“We are most alive when we’re in love.”  John Updike

The Month of Romance and Love: #9 of 14 Tips for finding better love

by Renee Lindstrom, GCFP @ Inside Awareness

#9  Listen to your intuition

Meet new prospects in public in an easy, fun and lighthearted location. (Don’t stay online – take it public) Listen to your ‘first impression.’ What is your gut telling you? Can you be authentic and stay integral to what matters to you? Are you comfortable? Are they comfortable? Can you be yourself? Your goal is to find out if they are looking for a successful relationship or the novelty of attraction. A successful relationship is life-enriching and the novelty of attraction becomes life-draining and can become a fatal attraction.

Love Day 9Tip of the Day:

Be objective.  Notice the warning signs and if you stay centred or if you’re trying too hard and giving too much.  Go beyond the physical attraction.   If conversation is a struggle now it will always be a struggle.  Notice the rewards in connecting.  Yes, conversation is rewarding.

“Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.”
                                                 Vincent Van Gogh
