Are you a leader, follower or both?

BalanceSometimes we are leaders and sometimes we are followers in relationships! If we are in balance, we are always in motion and flowing in and out of planning and action.  To describe this balance in the popular terms of yin and yang lets first look at their attitudes:  We could also describe these two dominate behavioral types as round (yin) and sharp edges (yang).

Yin & Yang attitudes

  • Balanced Yin

Listener, Patient, Planner, Quiet, reflective, empathetic, collaborative,         willing to follow, glow from the inside

  • Balanced Yang

Speaker, Spontaneous, Quick, Energized, Strategist, Outgoing, strong ideals, willing leader shine from the outside

  • Unbalanced Yin

           Depressed, Withdrawn, Internalize, Hurt, Sad,
Death Wish

  • Unbalanced Yang

Aggressive, Loud, Angry, Anxious, Externalize, Vengeful, Closed, Compartmentalize, Rigid, Take ones life,

#1 Regret Senior’s have:

The number one regret (fear) statement that those aging ask is “What if  my family finds out………..”
Fill in the blank with, I did, I spent, I behaved………

What is good advice for younger folk?  Ask yourself this question: Is my behavior/decision going to leave me filled with remorse and regret if my kids or grandchildren hear about it?

Announcing the birth of the Children’s Peace and Nature Labyrinth Design

Jerry Etzkorn and Renee Lindstrom have done it *again!  They have
collaborated and created the Children’s Peace and Nature Labyrinth Design for the Contemplative Workshop at the World Children’s Summit on Peace and Nature  in May, 2015.  Renee had the idea of creating a Labyrinth design that children of the future could make their own  and Jerry magically turned ideas into amazing and creative results.

This labyrinth design has an entrance at the base of the trunk
and an exit at the top of the branches.  It was specifically designed
this way for the movement and contemplation program for the
World Children’s Summit while keeping the traditional four directions.

Enjoy the beauty in this pattern.  This design will be available in a  30 foot by 30 foot painted portable indoor labyrinth by November 1, 2014

Shifting the planet to green together  &  our differences are in the solutions not the values. Values are in harmony!

If wo/man takes time to consider inner values and share them with a willingness to hear what is important to others, the solutions will more likely include both of set needs.  By listening first, before solutions,  the results will be more open and expansive versus closed and limiting. (*mirroring mindfulness) This will be the change that will shift the planet to green as  this behavior could replace conflict.  It may be surprising to hear that there is no conflict at the level of values, only in the solutions and strategies.
