In addition to remembering our fallen today, I hope citizens will remember the reasons behind why we have fallen citizens. At the core or ground zero of the conflict there where differences and the strategy was to engage in fighting to resolve it. An example of micro creating a countries macro experience.
These micro behaviours are still alive in our culture today on a daily basis in our moment to moment experiences.
Is now the time to expand our conscious awareness and do better?
It all begins with intention.
When weeding isn’t weeding anymore!
Yesterday when the person who had wanted dandelions didn’t show up to harvest them, I decided to go out myself and get started. An area that was originally grass had become weed filled when I let the neighbors invasive Saint John’s Wort move in. Digging up never-ending weeds has been a challenge and now I felt lucky to have someone who wanted to harvest the dandelions.
As I began digging I noticed wild onions and had to stop to taste them. Then I began to separate them from the weeds along with the dandelions. Then came the baby thistle, then the plantain and finally the fennel. Weeding wasn’t weeding anymore! It became a gathering experience. Each one had to be tasted periodically too.
Once washed and laid out to dry the volume was appreciated. A small 3 x 4 foot patch reaped a table full of greens for tea’s, salad’s, oils flavored vinegar, poultice’s and creams. Well, actually too much was eaten. The first harvest and I couldn’t get enough.
When this gal I mentioned earlier came by to pick up her dandelions, we stood chatting. We began eating the leaves off the Saint John Wort and that’s when it hit me. What I hadn’t been able to see that is. What I did see caused much angst and I was blocked from seeing the treasures that were actually there. They were not hidden, I just wasn’t able to see them! My focus was on my kids, business and time. I told myself I didn’t have time and yet needed it to look a certain way for my business. What a loss. I imagine now, had I shared this knowledge with my kids they would have had real-time with me and learned something more valuable than doing chores. So busy being busy. Ouch!

~ Part 1 of 3 ~
- Planting seeds of intention for 2016
The Fall Equinox shifts us into Natures cycle reflecting Personal Change. Entering into the West is the best time to plant the seeds of intention for the coming year ~ 2016 ~.
This is the time to check in and reflect on what has and hasn’t worked in this past year and letting go of life’s clutter.
A time of inner thanksgiving and harvesting.
In this three part series you will explore how to clear inner space to make room for new growth using intention so that you are filling your experience up with what you do want. NOT with what you don’t want! Each weekend will include guided mediation and fun activities to combine mindful contemplation, with movement and creativity. Become introspective in a fun light-hearted way without dogma and the heaviness of effort. Rather begin to discover how to reduce the effort of living! Made even easier with Natures guidance…..
Breaking our 2016th year into three parts we will explore our nine life areas, hopes and dreams and begin to co-ordinate them within the cycles of Nature, as follows.
Autumn – West – Introspection
Winter – North – Clarity
Spring – East – Awareness
Summer – South – Heartfelt Action
Enjoy exploring how to create a better tomorrow that begins with expanding awareness in the support of the natural rhythms of nature.

Living Well the Natural Way – wisdom from naturalhealthcare.com
A few hardcore Feldenkrais® students came to join in one evening of Conscious Movement through Dance. As the circle began sharing it was explained that the evening wasn’t a Feldenkrais® focused event for their benefit. They chose to stay and take part in a movement with the intention to connect conscious awareness and action in a dance pattern. This concept had been explored with the other participants for a several nights before. This evenings focus was putting patterns of isolated movements into a bigger flow of patterns to experience.
As the larger focused movement pattern was taken up off the floor into big movements a smile crossed their faces. They mentioned that they had never taken their Feldenkrais® lessons off the floor, therefore never experienced them in an upright action! Beautiful moment that encouraged the remaining group members to smile.
Exploring without rules is learning!
Many thanks to the Church of Truth in James Bay for their support in hosting this wonderful series and letting us play with Conscious Movement in Dance!

Inside Awareness Behavior principles are founded upon one similar to the first steps in a of Buddhist Mediation. In meditation one is sitting on a cushion to become comfortable being still in space while watching their thoughts. The purpose is to become *mindful and to experience the environment coming into ones awareness softly versus directing ones attention outwardly. The difference in these two focuses of attention is that one is open and expanded, and other one is closed and limiting.
*mindfulness – an attentive awareness of the reality of things
