Any meaningful change begins when you notice what you would like to do differently in a non-judging way.   Creativity through the right brain activities of art, crafts, writing, music and walking in nature can turn ones illusive longing into obvious statements before goal planning even begins.  Leading through a right brain activity can tap into all bodies of function creating a balanced approach.  Activating goals through integration of all bodies of human function can create a living force and increase the will to achieve them.  The functioning human bodies includes the physical, cultural, perceptual, emotional and mental bodies.

It’s time to harness the mental thinking mind and give it guidance to support a fuller wholesome experience.  More on how the a dominant focus on the mental mind can influence self-judgement below.

What this means for you for becoming the change you want to be

Resolution statements activated from the left-brain may focus on short term goals and not lead to last change that integrates life style.  Including aspects of right brain activities can lead to the integration of life style change leading to long term change.   With a focus only on the mental body it generally becomes its own driving force of single mindedness that lacks balance and support of all functioning systems.  It can be controlling and eventually may become a source of depression.

Why?  Change declarations from thought function may only be influenced by outside stimulus, should’s and self-image.  Long lasting and life-enriching change comes from the inside and goes beyond self-image and stimulus.  Meaningful change grows through a system of open learning, not through a closed system of should’s and should nots.

The steps of turning Intentions into Goals begins with a vision of 2020.  It is then followed by noticing the four walls of experience created by our seasons; fall, winter, spring and summer.  The intention of the dream created in the year’s imagery is then easily turned into a doable guided pattern that incorporates universal values, characteristics and qualities in a novel and uncluttered way,  integrating new habits through the months and seasons.  The ease of leaning is integrated through the experience following a guided pattern.  Awareness through intention and action.

Turning intentions into doable goals in 5 easy, integrative steps

There are 5 fun and easy steps to activating the integration of intention and action in a meaningful way using a novel pattern to stimulate right and left brain functions with activities that can create life-enriching experiences and relationships.   As each step can be life-changing and integrative commit to spend time on each step before moving to the next one.  Direction suggestions will be given for each step.

Step #1 – The Foundation

Book time with yourself to focus your attention through your creative nature.  This step can be a private experience in your own space or shared with a friend group or spent privately with a mentor or coach.  It will take up to two hours to lay out the image with additional time to gather materials beforehand.  This initial step will be stimulating.  Let it digest for a minimum of three days before moving to step two.

What is stopping you from moving to a life of more joy?

The thinker

  • If you hesitate as you believe you are not creative, go beyond this thought and gather together some magazines,glue, scissors and some paper.   Create a collage mixing pictures and words that speak to you.
  • If you tell yourself you are dominantly a thinker, go beyond this thought and gather up some of your favorite magazines, glue, scissors and some paper.  Create a collage using words and include pictures that speak to you.
  • If you cannot devote this time to  be adventuresome and connect to  yourself and growth, pause and make a commitment and do it anyhow.  This is as important as eating, sleeping, and socializing, etc.  Perhaps even more important as it is the point of clarity and balance in  our natures.  It is invaluable learning and guidance that comes from  within.

The artist

  • Gather the medium you wish to create with such as water colours, oil, charcoal, etc.
  • Create a vision of your dreams

The musician

  • Gather music sheets and pencil/pen or instrument.
  • Create music for your dreams

The physical

  • Gather pen & paper and locate a place in nature that you can walk ALONE under and surrounded by trees.
    • Let this forest bath of smells, sounds & movement calm and slow down your 5 bodies to connect to your inner desires for the coming year
    • Listening inside is a place one can go in nature easily when slowing down to create the space for it. Listening from inside can give you your best guidance.  Use this time to become quiet and let your inner desires be heard.  Remember to make notes afterwards so this experience isn’t fleeting.

This is the last autumn new moon growing cycle before transition into winter. Why is this important?

Autumn reflections

Today is the last New Moon in 2019’s  fall season.  The next New Moon will be at the end of December after the Winter Solstice.  Today until December 11th when the moon becomes full again is the best time to reflect upon your intentions for 2020.

What do you want to bring into your life experience and how to you want to make personal changes?  For example:

Bring into your life:

  • fame & fortune
  • new relationships
  • new job, new home, new pets, etc
  • your ideas?

Personal changes:

  • healthier eating plan
  • improve conscious awareness
  • increase fitness
  • learning programs
  • your goals?

Take 5 minutes to write out your overall visions for 2020 now. 

Remember after December 10th the moon cycle will be waning  which is a time for clearing and de-cluttering.  It’s not a period for starting new projects.

Don’t wait until your pressured into it at the end of December and turning of the year.  That’s too late to be in natures growing rhythm.  Winter is a time to let the seeds dropped in fall gather momentum to burst in 2020.
