The Month of Romance and Love: #6 of 14 Tips for finding better love

by Renee Lindstrom, GCFP @ Inside Awareness

#6  How you love is how you are loved

If you love through sex, you will be loved only for sex.  If you love money, you will only be loved forever by how long you have value to the financier.  If you love to be taken care of, you are loved until the novelty of loving you wears off!  However, if you are clear on your needs in a relationship and your love is expansive, you will receive back deeper everlasting love.

Love Day 6Tip of the Day:

Write down 5 things that you love and are loved in return for.  For example:  You are caring, therefore cared for.

“Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.”    Vincent Van Gogh

#5  Relationships are on the physical plain

Relationships are the manifestation of your hopes, dreams and intentions.  The conscious or unconscious seeds sown will result in capturing a love connection. However, it is a balance of your whole self that will determine the state of your experience in your relationships.

Love Day 5Tip of the day:  A relationship is in real-time. Once love is found it only lasts if the interactions and shared experiences are compatible.

Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

Lucille Ball

Inner curiosity into reality here at Inside!

Integrating the evolving community needs has given rise to the ebb and flow of educational materials and offerings.  It seems that these materials are expanding more fully into a lifestyle focus here at Inside!

compass rose

This became evident recently with a need for clarity and understanding of some of these new educational tools being added.  Some hard personal questions were answered within two days with great joy and relief.  This came via a speaking invitation from a local community group.  In our conversation, I heard that their 2015 direction for presenters held the same theme as what was emerging here at Inside.  Hearing this was greatly appreciated and reassuring.

It meant that the essence that is emerging here at Inside is a theme that is understandable to a consciously directed community!  I fully recommend opening to exploring with curiosity versus the confines of closed systems of beliefs and limitations.   I also appreciate the mentors of the past three decades who supported breaking limiting beliefs and promoted testing-inflicted boundaries and limitations.

I encourage people, groups and business organizations to take time and commit to pausing long enough to check in and explore with curiosity their dream, direction and destination.

The Month of Romance and Love: #4 of 14 Tips for finding better love

#4  Love is a full-time job!

Finding a loving relationship is a full-time occupation.  A loving mate is our most important objective.  It is a goal we enter life with.  The love experience of our parents shapes us.  It’s where we learn love either fills us with hope or hopelessness.  It is on our minds and what motivates us!

Love Day 4Tip of the day:  Be honest with yourself and admit that you are looking for love.  Let your family, friends and co-workers know.  If you are looking for a mate tackle it in the same way you would look for a new job.  If you are looking to improve your love experience, tackle it in the same way that you pursued important milestones!

“The art of love is largely the art of persistence.”

Albert Ellis

Integrity the new “I”

As we discussed ‘Integrity’ our conversation turned to personal meanings of this verb.  Before long it became clear the newest definition of “I” was “integrity” and this meant being honest to one’s own values.

It is important to say that we realized a connection to our values was a need for integrity and included a willingness to slow down and identity them.  The next step and perhaps the most difficult, was being honest and expressing them!  This takes clarity, commitment and courage.  The 3 ‘c’s!’

We agreed doing integrity is a noun and our dialogue was encouraging us to consider the differences of doing and  being this value-need of  integrity. We also agreed that integrity as a noun  is a mental concept that could create hypocrisy – “Actions speak louder than words!”  Here are some of our final check in talking-points:

1.  Say what you mean and mean what you say.

  • Commitment to check inside first,  even if this means checking out of the conversation temporarily,  to define what is alive inside first before responding.
  • Clarity  through connection to the point or intention of what it is you are trying to convey first before engaging.
  • Courage to ‘speak your value-needs.’

2.  Be willing to hear the value-need messages of others regardless of friend or foe in the moment!

  • Commitment to put object of their conversation through your value-needs translator even if this means checking out of the conversation temporarily to do so.
  • Clarity  through reflecting back what you are hearing them say.
  • Courage to ‘name their value-need message’ regardless of whether you agree or disagree.

In our closing I heard how these value dialogues were expanding our own personal perspective’s and deepening connections within and out.

The Month of Romance and Love: #3 of 14 Tips for finding better love

by Renee Lindstrom, GCFP @ Inside Awareness

#3  Romance? Play? Adventure? Affection? Intimacy?

It’s all about the love! Start pursuing love creativity and playfully. Tap into qualities of what you love by exploring objects, art and nature to represent the essence of the value-needs you discovered in Tip #1. The aim is to represent your inner longings creatively in your personal space which is a physical manifestation of your intention.

Love Day threeTip for today:  Begin with creating a space to represent the qualities of love that you are looking for in a new or old relationship.  In a space that is completely yours begin creating an altar for romance and love.  If you are looking for romance question yourself on what objects mean this to you?  Candles? Roses?  Remember when you put objects like candles or roses out do it in pairs.

“We are shaped and fashioned by what we love.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The Month of Romance and Love: #2 of 14 Tips for finding better love

#2   One plus one equals two

If your inner landscape yearns for love, have you decorated your outer landscape for romance?

Does your personal space display your relationship’s intentions?

Love Day twoTip for today:  Notice your outer landscape.  Walk with fresh eyes around your home and notice what dominates the story.  Kids? Work? School? Hobbies? T.V.?   If you want more,  what can you remove to make more space?

.

“Love does not dominate; it cultivates.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
