February begins on a number 2 in numerology. A number 2 is all about teamwork, service, love, friendship, patience, personal growth, learning, emotional balance, partnership, acceptance, peace, bonding, and mutual interest. On the negative it reflects shyness, timidity, fear, self-consciousness, drowning in detail and depression. However today in moonology the moon is waning. This suggests today’s number 2 is a great day to support clearing out the clutter of what’s not working well in partnerships. The vibe is there to support taking the steps to making change for the better to create the environment that supports abundance, health and wellbeing. I chose snails to reflect the energy for my day, this first day of Feb., as they symbolize tolerance and perseverance. My intent for these two qualities is to have them in response to having it for myself as decisions for change seem overwhelming, not to put up and shut up and stay with the status quo. It’s all about actions towards changing the conditions to be a better versions of self, not to fit into an unproductive and unhealthy situationship. It begins with the inner and immediate landscape.
Over the past few days I have posted the first two tips for manifesting by taking conscious actions in the environment.โOne’s success can be viewed and experienced through their environmental influences.โThe environment landscape, or viewscape, can be unsettling or grounding.โThese tips can encourage one to cultivate awareness in their own home or work space.โThe third tip is pictured below followed by a downloadable pdf for you to explore at your leisure.โ
Reflection of yin and yang balance (feminine and masculine energies)
Yesterday I shared an exercise to introduce a connection to mindful intention and action in one’s personal environment.โIt is the first tip of 31 created to cultivate somatic and mindful awareness.โ
In 2013 I wrote a little booklet to support an introduction for practicing techniques to ground and expand mindful connection using focused attention on the integration of intention with action. The purpose of these tips is to cultivate conscious awareness.โOne way you can bring your goals into reality is to consider these daily awareness techniques and actions to define your intention. Bring them alive by making time to manifest physical change in your living/working space. ย It takes a few minutes a day.ย Designed for slowing down and consciously pausing to reflect, notice and take actions. It is for creating your dreams and taking actions to make them happen that combines mindfulness and physical action to create your space of ‘success’. ย Each day for 31 days there is a short pattern or exercise to integrate in one’s environment to support change and connection!
Here is the second tip on day two for you to investigate and experience.โEach January I follow this program to remind myself and reconnect to my space and things with intention and mindfulness.โ
Here is a pdf of exercise 2 for your enjoyment!โ
Leave a comment and share back how this exercise was for you. For me I felt pleased after doing this task that I have done numerous times before with no sense of joy, rather felt effort previously.โThe difference was the connection to my intention and purpose.โIt change the inner vibration in the action that began with a different mindset.โMy mind was refocused and the thought stories were of a higher vibration.โ
This post is the first in a while.โThe last one I posted focused upon the numerology meaning of 2024.โAs I reread it I recognize my own focus of attention aligns with this interpretation.โThe last half of 2023 had a focus upon defining the balance of material and spiritual wealth.โThe last few decades has had a focus on the evolution of ego that began to transition from an elusive somatic experience into an obvious mindful perspective. โ
What is the evolving focus for Renee in 2024 at the Learning Center for Inside Awareness for Healthy Living?
Defining humanness through somatic function
A strong propensity that created an unintended boundary in earlier years was a strong-willed action for not pursuing comparable modalities.โThis meant choosing one main method for somatic integration and diving deep into the patterns.โRather than entering into somatic confusion by trying many similar methods the only consideration for pursuit was a compatible functionally focused method that was an identifiable missing link.โFor example it is well known among Feldenkrais Practitioners that Moshe Feldenkrais was a poor communicator.โHence, there was a gap in speaking and listening skills for me.โRather than pursuing comparable movement modalities my focus was on integrating speaking and listening skills to create a fuller holistic experience between movement and expressed mindfulness. Starting in 2004 the modalities I mentored and personally practiced were contained and isolated from each other.โHowever in 2014 I began to relax and integrate them somatically.โIn the past 10 years, the progress in personal transformation in others and myself has been identifiable.โObserving these transformations has been rewarding.โWith a focus of attention on integrating inner change with an intention to shift outer experiences requires an environment for retraining habitual learning.โA person needs to enter into an adventurous space for unlearning old behaviours while in the action of exploring new ones in a mindfulness state of expanding their awareness.โRather than assimilating methods with an egocentric focus of attention the focus has been on functional mindfulness in day to day that defines humanness through somatic function.โThe change in 2024 will reflect this somatic integration process.โThe successful components of these years will be reflected in offerings.โ
Some of the topics that will be added in 2024:
Reverse aging
Classes and workshops have been held in activity centers since the late 90’s.โThese have been seasonally with no breaks which has offered the opportunity to work with aging personalities, communication and physical abilities.โCulturalization of aging has been a big proponent in the aged that has been intriguing.โThis has been a low key focus these years that moved into the forefront in the last five years.โThis topic will become a larger focus this coming year.
Cultural entrainment
In the 90’s entrainment was a focus of attention when entering into homes, offices and organizations to consult on spacial awareness and influences.โThis awareness has expanded into its relationship in the minutia of all day to day functions.โThis topic will become a larger focus this coming year.
Expansion
Requests for creating supportive development programs for training purposes, consulting and resolving conflict through empathy, to connect first before change versus compromise, has increased the depth energetically in the ethos this past year.โExpect to learn more about these offerings as they expand outward into other potent life areas such as institutions, corporations, organizations, groups.โOf course personal transformation materials will continue to grow in offerings for transformation to define humanness in somatic function.โ More growth this coming year.โ
Turning the cultural definition of manifestation into an active vibration
A focus of attention for health and wellbeing that will dominate our 2024 expression will be upon the use of vibration in manifesting.โThe purpose is to transition goal setting into an active expression versus an outside strategy.โThe intention is integrating it into a mindful process versus demand.โThis topic will become a larger focus this coming year.
An example is the first step I wrote in a manifestation booklet in 2013 and still use personally now.โEach January since I follow this program to reconnect to my space and things with intention and mindfulness.โHere is an example:
Here is a pdf of exercise for your enjoyment!โ
Leave a comment and share back how this exercise was for you. For me I felt pleased after doing this task that I have done numerous times before with no sense of joy, rather felt effort previously.โThe difference was the connection to my intention and purpose.โIt change the inner vibration in the action that began with a different mindset.โMy mind was refocused and the thought stories were of a higher vibration.โ
One of the hardest behaviours to observe in coaching is witnessing someone attached to another for what they can get from them rather than what they can contribute. I have noticed that when the focus is not on creating an authentic connection its purpose is on creating a disconnection inside the others person’s mind where they hope to receive some personal gain. Sometimes it’s for competition as they don’t want to see the other succeed, or to gain monetarily and receive support, or simply not wanting to be abandoned in whatever addictions they share. Only a few times I have witnessed it be from hatred and rage or a belief the other person is not smart or good enough. Qualities that cannot be hidden from an empath.
I have witnessed gaslighting someone is never for the qualities of love like appreciation, respect, or empathy. It seems that once the cycle starts it quickly turns into entitlement or ownership of the other. People doing the gaslighting don’t get how these controlling behaviours are easily identifiable and visibly recognizable, especially by an empath. It’s felt emotionally by the person they are gaslighting however witnesses can easily observe the mental manipulation. The gaslighting is like mind control, or a false reality. It is very destructive and harmful. In some situationships it can last for years where the experiences become dark, lonely, and painful. The person on the receiving end either doesn’t seem to recognize it at first or they believe it will change.
Most people don’t go into relationships with the expectation to be on the receiving end of this type of behaviour so can be naive to it. An element of human conditioning is to trust. Initially a common reaction to it is shock, surprise, freezing or fighting back. Once the behaviour is habituated it seems to be internalized by the receiver where is transforms into feelings and damaging beliefs related to self-worth. Regardless of these fight, flight or freeze reactions they can be purposely stimulated for controlling the actions of someone to stop them from moving forward and acting. Over time the person being manipulated is noticeably drained, stressed, angry or depressed and often will seek artificial stimulants to cope.
Often the person on the receiving end of this manipulative behaviour will believe there is something wrong with them from the feelings that are stimulated by the gas lighter. Gas lighting often interferes with the receiverโs connection to what is meaningful and their values by creating doubts. Long-term reactions to this are a lack of self-esteem, self-value, and confidence. The joy for me in these over-the-top situationships has been integrating somatic learning models that cannot be manipulated due to the very nature of focusing on connecting to what is meaningful in the moment – oneโs values. There is no focus of attention on someone speaking for another, being the teacher, therapist, or authority. Each learns how to speak for only themselves and listen without correction or convincing the other parties. There is no focus on telling the story to ascertain who is right and who is wrong. The key is to process the story using practical steps to integrate skills on how to communicate and accept differences where all parties are valued equally. I would have loved to have grown up in this type of cultural experience, however the gift of not living it became the purpose for exploring it and making discoveries for the past three decades.
January can be the time where it’s hard to rock past choices that weren’t in alignment with what makes you truly happy. Sometimes decisions are made from a mindset of what ones thinks is safe or from others bad advice, yet what is unknown is the long term effects of false safety choices. (Safety isn’t stagnant, it’s in ones agility) Long term effects begins to express themselves through the range of depressed and anxious emotions in one’s emotional, mental, and physical functions. It seems January is when the reality of the truth hits. After the glitter distraction of December with social engagements and the ra ra of New Year’s celebrations and goal projections, January can be when there is no denial. It’s obvious. The biggest recommendation I am currently sharing is for individuals to get back to the simple basics of committing to themselves. Rather than focus on an ego driven topics of the day the suggestion is to begin to privately set yourself up for success. The first step is to celebrate the wins and regret the losses. This begins with writing out 3 to 5 things at night of what you would like to accomplish the next day. That’s the commitment.
At the end of that next day reflect on the goals you accomplished and celebrate yourself by noticing how it feels. (yes, feelings can be the celebration!) For the ones you didn’t do pause and consider what you did do. Afterall life is spontaneous and there is more than one choice in any moment. So what did you do? Hold both regret and celebration for not meeting a goal but recognizing the unintended one. Pulling back this veil is the only way one can tap into what is meaningful making recognition of choices in the moment easier. An attitude will emerge with increased clarity of what is more meaningful, the goal or the distraction. Staying on track will become easier. It’s all in the mindset and shifting it for an improved way of being with self.
The bonus is that this pattern shifts habits and soon getting up in the morning is easier and brighter. It’s all in the intention. Intention creates motivation. So include an inner commitment to connect to self for integrating change from the inside out. Balance out the extroverted broadcasting that becomes the pedestal that can cause mental, emotional and physical crashes.
Trust in the future is when you are connected to, or learning, your intentions from the inside out …..
In a previous post I mentioned how the experience of the first eight months of this year has increased my focus on a couple of life areas that I hadn’t given much attention to in past years. One was my relationship of a significant other and the second was having space that felt like my home.
What I had been experiencing in those two life areas came from neighbours. One was an older married man who became a stalker and a large family next door who turned out to be a part of a bigger family circle of whom owned the house I was in. It was an unwelcome experience that lacked boundaries and became what I can only call as having watchers. I also had to insist they stay off the property as my office was located off the garden which resulted in a level of hostility in the masculine householder that was at a level not appropriate for the circumstances. They felt an ownership over the property. I simply wanted my clients to feel comfortable in movement sessions.
Even without clarity in these two life areas, home and relationship, I did include them in my own goals for the last few years in a sketchy way. The universe must have been listening as last fall a bomb blew up my lifestyle. That bomb was the stimulus to forcefully manifest some long term goals that I had been considering for two previous years yet couldn’t see a way forward and was stuck. I hadn’t anticipated fulfilling them would be out of my control or dramatic as it was. I am thankful that this blow up was my residence and business location and not my health. The universe has its own wake up calls.
I am also grateful I made a decision not to lock into something in fear and make immediate commitments. I still didn’t have a dream. When the bomb blew up it stimulated inner questioning of a third life area, my own career and it’s direction. I took a leap of faith and an attitude of seeing what came to me. I was open to anything being possible. This became a discovery of who I am, and what I can do.
I had three life areas that represented stability all without a hard focus; home, career and relationship. All three are the cornerstones of groundedness and stability. These three areas reflect basic needs for survival; shelter, food and water, and any one of them would influence the other six life areas; wealth, health, future, spirit/knowledge, community and fame.
Now preparing materials for others to put their next year intentions to paper I began reviewing my own. I get how transitional this year has been so far. Yet I have discovered a new dimension of integration of my own dreams into a core experience, while simultaneously believing in them as though they have actually happened. It’s a new way of manifesting them. Like attracts like. All these years of emphasising this to others to try and challenge their resistance for taking actions and now here is my own experience of it. This time with a deeper personal connection to this statement. I have finally found the piece that has been missing for me in that popular nineties philosophy – the law of attraction.
What I am most proud of is how the guidance is a pattern for creating a new inner language. By following the program over the years since developing it myself, it has created a new inner way of speaking that I can describe as one of achievement. One that makes things possible. There is no trying or effort. It is simply a pattern of learning that appears can change the inner dialogue process. I am ecstatic to experience this new dimension of being able to manifest from a core level of connection to myself that is not influenced by mainstream ideologies.
I am reminded that this is what I mentor to others. Now connecting to this dimension for manifesting dreams myself I look forward to being able to support their deeper connections to actively becoming their own intentions.
Being in a circle with one of my mentors in 2004, Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, Phd & Author of Nonviolent Communication, A Language of Life, I reflected on his question on where we as individuals could see ourselves taking these teachings. I knew in my heart that I wanted to integrate this language into the somatic journey of the Feldenkraisยฎ Method of Somatic Education. In Feldenkrais there are two ways of offering movement education we call Awareness through Movement and Functional Integration. Each one is focused on patterns for the participant to become self-aware versus being told what to do. One is hands on called FI for short and the other are group lessons called ATM for short. This goal program that I call Awareness through Goals is an added functional dimension of human behaviour and the missing piece in the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education for me. It is the development of inner dialogue that becomes thinking and ways we communicate. By following the goal pattern one integrates universal values into their very conscious way of being from which all action springs from. Marshall it’s taken close to two decades to achieve this. I hope you and Robert Gonzales are watching over and smiling your approval.
