The cover picture of this book demonstrates the elements of fire and water. Fire is the action that bursts up through the mindfulness qualities from a state of contemplation and reflection. This goal program is a design that is a perfect blend of the fire and water qualities.

Before getting started, Fire and Water Somatic Goal Setting will be released on November 19, ’25. In time to begin using the tips after the hustle and bustle of this holiday season. A couple of options for enjoying the program will be offered. These will include purchasing the book and reading it independently, or following along with the author in an online group reading. The third way is to join a workshop that will explore the daily contemplations and actions in depth.

Actions for grounding & motivation through intention

Integrating mindful focus of attention with actions

Support turning your goals and intentions into reality with tips designed to develop your conscious awareness.  Increase the likelihood of success with techniques to stay on track and move towards your goals to replace disappointment.  Learn how to replace letting yourself down with building yourself up somatically.

One way you can bring your goals into reality is to consider these daily awareness techniques and actions to define your intention. Bring them alive by making time to manifest physical change in your living/working space.  It takes a few minutes a day.  Designed for slowing down and consciously pausing to reflect, notice and take actions. It is for creating your dreams and taking actions to make them happen that combines mindfulness and physical action to create your space of ‘success’.  Each day, follow one action tip to support the changes you seek!

If you are following these steps in January, imagine taking this time to clear your space and set your intention for the coming year.  โ€œClear the old to make way for the new.โ€  These steps have been written with this concept in mind.  This program can be started at any time.   The focus is on goal setting for personal change and growth.

It is recommended to integrate these or similar techniques before making any major changes in your current life experience.  Life experiences such as getting married, moving to a new city, looking for new employment, changing your personal relationships or health challenges.  

In her book, โ€˜Willpower Instinctโ€™, Dr. Kelly Mcgonigal, PhD., stresses the highest rate of success for changing behaviour that has become automatic is if you pay attention to it first before going cold turkey.  She suggests that there is less chance for success with cold turkey resolutions.  If you develop a conscious awareness of your behaviour your brain has a better chance of controlling it.  Paying attention to it is noticing your triggers and the feelings attached to them.  Her tip is that once you become familiar with your behaviour begin to delay whatever action you would like to change for a few minutes to disrupt the habitual behaviour to develop new willpower muscles consciously.  She strongly recommends that you know your behaviour, know what you want, and know what the change will give you and the feelings you hope to replace blame, shame and/or guilt. Those practicing getting InTouch communication methods will recognize these suggestions!

Taking this time for your goals over a period of time allows you to develop clarity.  It develops focus with a pattern to shift attention mindfully with a repeated pattern each day that guides an action for the intention of devoting time to you and your success.  The action is focused on developing a healthy connection with the environment to increase conscious awareness of the influences of environmental stimulus.  For example, by clearing clutter, an environment of support makes room for something new to enter.  With one change per day, it becomes doable and not overwhelming.  Unlike New Yearโ€™s Eve resolutions spoken at the last minute and that were not well thought out, and lacked any preparation for success ahead of time.  Anywhere from 80 to 92 percent of those making New Yearโ€™s Resolutions quit within 8 weeks!

Somatic Goal Integration

This model of guided patterns incorporates Awareness through Feng Shui Principles, Awareness of Feldenkrais from the perspective of Functional Integration of the mental, emotional and physical responses and action and Awareness through Communication from the perspective of core triggers to reactions that shift them into mindful actions.  

This goal program suggests a mindfulness action each day for 31 days.  It takes two weeks or 14 days to create new habitual behaviours.  These patterns are designed as actionable steps for changing the inner filter that receives information through the five senses and processes it to enhance conscious awareness.  Imagine creating habits to become consciously aware of the intentions behind your actions?

Fundraiser for building a Culture of Values through educational components and integrating them into educational institutions and organizations.

Remember, a Culture of Values from this perspective is not a religion. It is a model of integrative learning to enhance organized learning in institutions, organizations, parenting and childcare. It is not exclusive to one demographic. Rather is designed for all functioning people of all ages.

This first workshop for the Inside Awareness Center for Somatic Learning will be a fundraiser for building the Culture of Values educational programming to bring focus to the needs for maintaining the early learning patterns and partnering them with the current system that is oriented from the perspectives of adults contained within an institutionalized system. These early learning patterns here are not the typical strategies from an adult perspective of coming up with strategies to implement into a system. It is the actual patterns of integration for developing the inner processing capabilities for a child to develop into a healthy functioning adult in society. Education currently has a focus on memorization, solving puzzles with strategies and debate conversation entrainment. These educational programs will introduce the needs of the students who have retained their dominant sensory input as a form of viewing and processing incoming worldly information, and will strive to balance out those who are dominant analytical thinkers. These learning patterns will focus on developing a healthy inner and outer understanding of behavioural relationships between the elusive inner body responses in functional responses to any stimuli. This will be through transparent guided patterns designed in the same model of early learning in babies who have no input from adults intellectually in learning how to roll over, sit, stand, walk and talk. These abilities are inherent and not transmitted through an adult’s outside influence. These programs will integrate seamlessly into existing programs designed to increase recognition of inner responses for the ability to self-monitor and process reactions. This model has been initiated by a somatic empath who has recognized a gap in social conditioning while in a journey of self-discovery to find clarity and learn how to navigate in a world that has been educated to project outward from a dominant thinking behaviour, instead of having increased clarity and understanding of their inner process for creating healthy habits for good relationships and lifestyles later on. The intent for the educational patterns will be to create a healthier relationship and lifestyles that have less conflict and increased shared values.

These are 5 fun and easy steps to activating the integration of intention and action in a meaningful way using a novel pattern to stimulate right and left brain functions with activities that can create life-enriching experiences and relationships.   Each step can be life-changing and integrative. Commit to spending time on each step before moving to the next one. 

STEP โ€“ THE FOUNDATION

Book time with yourself to focus your attention on your creative nature.  This step can be a private experience, shared with a friend group, or spent privately with a mentor. It can take up to two hours to lay out the image. Additional time to gather materials beforehand will be needed. 

  • This initial step will be stimulating. 
  • Let it digest for a minimum of three days before moving to step two.

  • If you hesitate, or if you believe you are not creative, go beyond this thought and gather together some magazines, glue, scissors and some paper and begin creating. Your thoughts are your learned behaviour from years of conditioning.

  • If you cannot devote this time, pause and make a commitment and do it anyway.  This is as important as eating, sleeping, and socializing. Perhaps even more important is the point of clarity and balance in our natures.  It is invaluable learning and guidance that comes from within.

  • Gather pen & paper and locate a place in nature that you can walk ALONE under and surrounded by trees.
    • Let this forest bath of smells, sounds & movement calm and slow down to connect to your inner desires for the coming year
    • Listening inside is a place one can go in nature easily when slowing down to create the space for it. Listening from inside can give you your best guidance.  Use this time to become quiet and let your inner desires be heard.  Remember to make notes afterwards so this experience isnโ€™t fleeting.

Finding out your archetype is the first step towards knowing and understanding your inner behaviour preferences and habits. Some of us will be thinkers, and our first response will be thought. We’ll speak from our memory, while others will be visionaries and their expression will be through images and creating picture stories. Some of us will be listeners, and we’ll hear the music. As we observe and consider our goals for 2026. While others of us will be physical and we will choose nature dance, exercise or running as a way to connect. Each of us is uniquely different in our makeup. So take a moment and do this pattern I’ve suggested, and that is guided to find out your archetype. This is the first step to creating a connected future that is connected from the inside out, versus being stimulated by the outside world and trends. Take time to enjoy the process. Breathe, and enjoy the process.

The number 1 in numerology reflects independence, leadership and new beginnings. It is associated with unity and the origins of all things. 2020 was all about a new operating codelaying a foundation, and creating stability, followed by 2021. which was all about being present in the momentdiscovery, and exploration, while 2022 was about unconditional love and healing. 2023 was about finding harmony between the conscious and unconscious mind, and 2024 was all about ego and the balance between the spiritual and materialistic states of being. 2025 has been about prosperity, happiness, and good luck in life

Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais wrote a book, The Elusive Obvious, The Convergence of Movement, Neuroplasticity, and Health. Moshe founded The Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education. The focus of attention in this learning system is to cultivate awareness of the unconscious behavioural reactions that are taken for granted and habitual, therefore unknown.

Awareness through Intention: Inward Motivated Action

Using patterns to cultivate and increase awareness of one’s inner origins that motivate them through the functions has led to discovering differences in the inspiration from an inside focus and that of externally driven ones. The inner inspired motivation for action deepens the sense of feeling fullness and strength that is balanced mentally, emotionally and physically with confidence, and the energy of the outwardly focused inspiration seems to leave hunger, dissatisfaction and a lack of quality in achievements. One is satisfying and fulfilling while the other is empty, and gloomy usually leaving a deep loneliness or a sense of being lost. As one aligns with their inner origins life is no longer boring, dull and conflicted. There is no need to feed the same addictions that seem to come hand in hand with the emptiness in those not tapped into their own core needs. This picture reflects a quality I have begun to promote with self-care. The techniques I have been focusing on are a feminine quality. For my masculine energies, the same self-care actions can be taken with less focus on the sensuality I suggest for feminine energies. Another successful focus of attention is mindfully integrating goals designed to create new habits. The integrative process or nature of these steps is for retraining the brain and creating new behaviours. It gently turns habits one takes for granted and shifts into new actions. In my personal experience, this is the pattern of transformation.

Some examples are turning a lack of courage into courageousness, boredom into being alive with life, failure into opportunities and steps for building success, etc. It shifts from the fails that go hand in hand with trying to compete or please others into self-actualizing through origins from the inside. After all, it’s an inside job. I was once told in a dark night of the soul experience that I was born alone and would die alone. Hum……..That’s when I realized that even with people I felt alone. It was a huge moment of acceptance and a moment of transformation. People do not speak a language of connection. The connection can only be attained from connection to inner origins. This is the shift away from being a hungry ghost or vampire. lol My perspective only and for learning purposes…….

In August of 2023 I shared a post on the numerology for 2024 & reading it today found it interesting to the times in 2024…..

Future: Awareness through Intention

2024 is a number 8

Here are a few points that are relevant to this year’s experience. So much so that I thought I would bring attention to them. So let’s get started.

  • The number 8 in numerology reflectsย a cycle of balance as in the infinity symbol. It contains both spirituality and the materialistic states of being.
  • The number 8 is associated with the stability between the material and immaterial worlds.

I wrote:

For this writer, coach and mentor, the numerology of 2024 reflects the fame and recognition area of the Nine Life Areas grid. I expect that the ego will be a bigger influence in 2025 as the spiritual and material worlds balance. There may be an opportunity in this energy to balance out the dominant outside ego focus with a more correct inner use of ego. Incorrect use of ego creates conflict and disconnection that can be destructive to self and others. Correct use of ego creates self-confidence and power in one’s world that contributes to self and others productively and abundantly. This writer believes that oneโ€™s connection with values is the correct use of ego.

The life area of fame and recognition can be constructive or destructive.

When I read this I thought how relevant it was to the major events we have experienced this year that are still happening in the world ego-related.

At the beginning of September, I shared that 2025 is a number 9 in numerology in a post. I suggest 9 brings prosperity, happiness, and good luck in life. With this in mind, I wrote:

For this writer, coach, and mentor 2025 numerology reflects the wealth area of the Nine Life Areas grid. The wealth corner of the nine life areas reflects abundance for this writer. Abundance is a state of being reflecting qualities of character and life balance. It is the shift of transitioning into a lifestyle of living a life through gratitude and appreciation. Number nine reflects a completion and a new beginning, not an ending. Itโ€™s a transformative time from greed into one of living in abundance. An abundant life is one with equal giving and receiving.

In late September ’24 I posted this suggestion on my social media pages:

This suggestion is to reflect on this before the current calendar New Moon on October 2nd this Full Moon Phase is associated with clearing clutter in preparation for considering goals for 2025. Instead of cleaning the house or the office, clear the mind.

This perspective has been a focus of attention in the integrative studies in learning groups and sessions. Today the Moon goes into it’s full phase.

Today, Sept 17, 2024 is the last full moon before Fall Equinox. It also reflects the phases of my goal setting program that is structured around the eight phases of the moon that reflects when he intentions set during he new moon phase are set. I suggest it is the phase where, ‘it is done.’

Here is a little clip of a moment in time on the eve of this full moon that happened on my desk as I was working. It was a moment to pause and reflect. I hope you enjoy it.

This is live on Amazon today.ย  Since writing this program I have followed the steps once a year. That’s about 13 years.ย  I have started the patterns just now before it became available on Amazon.ย  As I do each step I recognize how this integration of shifting a mindset from a past conditioning is 100 percent available to accomplish in a lifetime.ย  Less than a lifetime.ย  ย A whole life lived before starting this journey that beganย with creating the guide towards change.ย  What’s different about these guidedย patterns is that they are not a focus of attention on cheerleading trends, and rules.ย  ย I do not do cheerleading lifestyle chants well.ย  As an empath, the energy of that style of coaching, and mentoring is too cultish and rely on preexisting conditions to facilitate.ย  My perspective of the energies.ย  ย To supportย my own need for safety, mentally, emotionally, and physically, I integrated actions that tapped into myย understanding of entrainment in nature and the personal landscape learned from earlier models of education with the education model I was practicing.ย  The education model focus did not pay attention to achievement from an outside focus or source.ย  Rather guided patterns were focused on inner resourcefulness and shifting theย inner dance of flow of information, perception,ย  process, and then action.ย  It is a pattern for shifting a mindsetย and expanding understanding of oneselfย and others uniquely different than the common cultural conditioningย one was entrained in.ย  It truly made a difference in learning who I was based on other’s influences from theย past and who I truly was in my nature.ย  These two do not align.ย  I lived a whole life experience based uponย false perception and inside literally experienced and expressed through a sense of being false or wearing aย mask.ย  I was the product of my cultural conditioning and that was a false body in a falseย narrative.ย  ย ย 

In Dr. Marshall Rosenberg’s model of Nonviolent Communication, he has introduced blocks in connectionsย through communication that I took to heart.ย  I don’t process using debate styles of communicating when focused on connection so these blocks became a pursuit for increasing understanding and clarity in their day-to-day usage.ย  Theseย are right and wrong thinking, punishment and reward, scarcity, assessments, moral judgments, diagnosing, demands, assumptions, comparisons, denial of responsibility, and more.ย  Rather I turned to one’s natural habits in theย environment and combined them with a non-debate focus on doable and concrete steps to create a supportive environment that increases connection to space and one’s mental, physical, and emotional health and well-being.ย  As someone sensitive to energy this focus of attention created a sense of peace as I recognized it was creating another layer of connection to support through the environment.ย  This connection and focus were creating an elusive felt sense of safety in the environment mentally, emotionally, and physically.ย ย 

These daily suggestions are simple yet effective.  They build a relationship with one’s surroundings in association with how they perceive, experience, and live unaware of the conditions shaping experiences.  This means habitual conditioning where the focus of attention is on one tiny function of the human existence – prefrontal cortex thinking usually limited to the ego.  Of course, when writing out these integrative steps for myself and my students, I was unconsciously creating safety for myself as an empath who has a dominant somatic way of perceiving the world and worldview and who is sensitive to the energies of nature.

Reviewing the daily steps for publication and actualizing them in my own space I recognize the new habits that have become inherent in my behaviour from taking these integrative steps each year.  The guided patterns have a focus on personal integration for self-actualization.  There is no ego no religion, and no doctrine to follow.   It is nature, space, and conditions that stimulate behaviour and the potential to marry the inner process of incoming information through universal value needs.

I am in awe of life and living it well.
