Three ways to remove your mask

Three ways to support you in removing your mask is through changing your environment!  Yes your environment.  This means the environment of:

  1.  Your thoughts
  2.  Your habitual muscular tension in your jaw, neck and face
  3.  Your relationships

We perceive information through our five senses; sight, touch, sound, taste and smell.  Three of these senses are in our face , the fourth is in our head and the fifth is closely related to our tongue.  Imagine taking in information through ones mask and how it influences reactions and emotions from one’s thinking based upon old stories of the past!

The topic of  Personal Landscape in Harmony or Disharmony ​will introduce how ​natures ​landscape ​stimulates personal and individual experiences of health and well-being.  ​This event may deepen ​ ​or validate your ​inner knowing of how your natural landscape ​ effects you​ and enhance awareness of how the landscape is your experience.  There is no separation.  This will include exploring how to incorporate the symbols of wood, fire, earth, metal and water into your own tool kit for cultivating your own landscape experience.  This evening deepening process ​ will be  through dialogue, vision, intention

CULTIVATING A LIFESTYLE OF HARMONY & BALANCE IN RHYTHM WITH NATURE 

Nature in Harmony

​Oneness Wednesday evenings in June will focus our attention on ways of increasing the synergy of nature and our personal landscape and living experiences.  Nature in balance supports harmony and nature out of balance destroys ​it.  Each Wednesday has it’s own jewel to explore and can be experienced separately.  Attending the series will expand personal awareness and will deepened cognitive and somatic integration.  During the month we will explore the meaning of landscape, the patterns of a natural landscape and how we fully participate in creating the landscape consciously and unconsciously. The month long series will include right and left brain activities; learning models, creativity and movement to enhance your somatic experience.  You will leave June with your own ability to plan your living landscape experience.

Educational Labyrinth Journey’s for Children & Teens

Somatic experience & a pathway to connection

Renee Lindstrom offers a somatic learning experience for leadership development for children and teens that includes mindfulness, logic, perception and movement patterns.  These tools can reflect the skills to connect  that begins inside while, at the same time, connecting with others in a respectful way regardless of differences. These techniques turn blocked and closed experiences into open expansive opportunities.

Sharing the Teaching Labyrinth at St. Andrew’s Regional High School was a powerful experience to observe a shift from being closed and guarded to open and receptive in a group of teenagers.   There was ease and simplicity using these tools that created a shift that was noticeable to view.  They were noticeably  acting with deeper qualities of inclusion, respect and connection.  Checking in with the students afterwards this was what they described. Their experience of this was tangible.

The purpose of the somatic exercises was to give these students a model and the opportunity to experience this shift using these integrative tools  so they could then duplicate it with ease and simplicity in the future.    After exploring personal and group movement patterns we moved on to exploring a labyrinth pathway.  A labyrinth has no barriers.  It is a pathway into the center (heart) and back out again.  It is not a maze which is confusing and a challenge requiring one to use their thinking.  A labyrinth shifts a walker from the chaos of their thinking into a calmer somatic experience.

The suggestion for walking a pathway in an inclusive and grounded way was it could be a more subtle and meaningful form of support in conflict resolution.  The concept is that everyone has differences and that if we include an opening shared experience for connecting deeper individually while walking together before talking,  this may open the space  to be more willing to hear these differences.
In communication practice I urge my students to stop and check in before reacting and speaking out.  The purpose is to pause and translate what they are thinking into a connection that the other person can hear.  This pathway reflects this process and together with some movement techniques for clarity and groundedness,  walking this pathway becomes a pattern reflecting this process.
I recommend these patterns as tools in organization and educational institutions:
  • as a preventative experience to cut conflict before it happens
  • as a way to connect before trying to resolve differences
  • to create respect and acceptance in a community experience
  • to bring together a community
  • to support making decisions
  • to cut anxiety before events, meetings, challenges

Support your school, business group or community organization to explore connection before solutions.  Cut thought the labels creating enemy images such as victim, perpetrator and bullying and support ways that are easy and simple. Move from the chaotic mind into mindfulness of acceptance and respect.

Begin your Spring with  exploring mindful somatic connections in your body, brain and behavior functions. Increase clarity using a technique to explore your own self-image and heightening your sensory awareness.  Expect to be taken through guided exercises that may give you a surprising outcome!  You may bring a blanket to lie on and remember to dress comfortably.  (Recommend no jeans or tight belts)

Each of the following Wednesday evening events may leave you with a heart-mind-soul connection not unlike devotion even though the focus is softening an inward view of oneself.

The first Church of Truth Oneness Wednesday of April  will be a journey of inner reflection and connection that will let your mind become restful.  Through focused movement and a quiet mind you may find a gap of clarity become available.  This result is much like a sitting meditation yet with a different focus.  The difference is in meditation the focus is on observing your mind and this focus will integrate your mind!
By integrating your mind it will cut confusion and balance body and mind, behaviour and increase your ability of inner focusing.   This somatic awareness enhances your meditation and yoga practice, it doesn’t compete with it!

On this second Church of Truth Oneness Wednesday in April you will  focus on deepening body awareness to encourage a quieter mind and expanding your “3 D self-image.”  Currently the world reflects back to you your self-image.  Often it is a mirror reflecting back to you your self-image.  This evening you will explore a somatic experience of your own self-image.   Enjoy increasing your potential of experiencing more balance in your environment from the inside out!

You may find yourself in a state of appreciation that you may not be expecting and it is without any doctrine or guru.  It is simply through your own ability to connect to all parts of yourself in a balanced and harmonious way.

The fourth Church of Truth Oneness Wednesday of April will focus on a movement sequence that will be a gift for a lifetime.  It will be a movement pattern that is easy and that will balance your emotions, nervous system and your bad posture habits.  This pattern sequence will support your nervous system and given you a strong ability to cope with your every day life.  It may become a must do sequence of self-connection before  meditating! It will enhance all your abilities and deepen your coping skills!

The fifth Church of Truth Oneness Wednesday of April will bring you into exploring bigger movements to integrate your body, mind and behavior inner sensing into regular daily activities and others you pursue such as dancing, walking, fitness.  The skill of observation will give you increased awareness of yourself in other areas of enjoying your life!
  • In 2012 Renee hosted a month-long Oneness Wednesday Awareness program with the Church of Truth.  The focus was the Season for Nonviolence and using the skills of nonviolent communication.
  • In 2013 Renee was backing hosting a month-long Oneness Wednesday Awareness program with the Church of Truth.  The focus was on Labyrinths for Walking and Integrating it with movement and inner communication and self-empathy.
