Finally heat source that supports my physical well being!

This year I decided to try to find a solution to reducing electricity bills and support a nicer and warmer environment.  I have electric heat that is expensive and inefficient!  A new Canadian Tire just opened close by so while investigating it’s opening sales, I came across this Infrared Heater.  I love Infrared Saunas so this was worth a deeper investigation.   After an on-line search I LIFESMART 6 Element Large Room Infrared Quartz Heater with Wood Cabinet and Remotedecided  to give it a try.

I love it!  As soon as it was turned on the infrared felt wonderful.  I have experienced oil heat, heat from a furnace, forced air, wood fires, heaters of all sorts including oil in a radiator and more.  None has been as efficient as this one seems to be.

It heats up a larger living area more efficiently than the existing heating system!  I purposely have left the heat extremely low and cooled the space off and within minutes this heater heats the middle of the room, while the existing heating system simply heats pockets of the room.

The greatest part of the experience is that I am very sensitive to all the heating systems I have tried.  Headaches, sinuses begin to feel plugged, chest tightens and a feeling of heaviness that supports feelings of being tired.   There was an immediate relief using this heater. It is now my heat of choice!

Reading some of the reviews I found some of the unhappy comments  to be the reasons I love this heater even more.  I can use it and know that once the room reaches the desired heat it will shut off!  I also love that it has an eco setting.  I find it is quiet and not annoying like some fans.  I love that it isn’t a fan that forces a direct path of shooting air and that it has a screen that is easy to see and read!

Movement and Speaking Authentically

Here is a way to take one’s knowledge of fright, flight and fight reactions and apply movement patterns that are self empathetic in nature to go far beyond your typical coping threshold. You may notice your voice is deeper and stronger and if you sing,  you may even discover that you have more vocal range!

In our workshop you will have the opportunity to safely explore how you speak before we begin the movement awareness patterns and afterwards.  The group environment will be in a container of safety and privacy.

I have been using lava to increase circulation and love it!

LavaA piece of lava caught my attention when searching for a good brush to increase the circulation in my skin and underlying tissue.  Curious,  I choose to try it  and find I am pleased with it.  Not only does it increase sensation it exfoliates too!   I have found a affordable supplier if you would like to try it.

Encouraging others to enhance their sensual awareness I want to share that this is a personal self-care exercise that not only increases self-awareness, it enhances self-esteem and increases personal pleasure.

Glorious Me by Author Deborah B Hawkey has Lauched!

Local Author and Creative Writer Mentor, Junie Swadron, introduces Deborah and then shares in unique dialog exchange with her to the delight of the audience!

We learned three things about Deborah last night that endeared her  to those of us that where lucky enough to hear some of her story.

  1.  Hawkey is the first person in Canada, diagnosed with acute blast-cell leukemia, to reach the five-year milestone after experimental bone marrow transplantation.
  2. In order to cope with the horrific experiences of her life-time she developed a strategy of pulling her hair called Trichotillomania, that lasted for 38 years.  She cured herself of this condition!!!!!!
  3. That she has become a life-coach and is developing a program to share with others!!!!!

Of course there is so much more to her story that qualifies it as horrific, however her focus has shifted to finding the beauty in life.  This includes how she was able to find acceptance, forgive and find meaningful relationships with her own father before he passed away.

It has been a joy supporting Deborah in launching Glorious Me, My Journey on the Path to Self Love, and to share in this important event!

I am excited and celebrating A clients book launch tomorrow, Nov 18, 2016!

Deborah B. HawkeyGreater Victoria Author, Deborah B. Hawkey has written a page turner entitled, Glorious Me, My Journey to the Path of Self Love.  Deborah was the first person in Canada to reach the 5 year milestone with Acute Blast Cell Leukemia and the only survivor in a group of 10 kids undergoing horrific experimental treatment.   She writes about this and how she has turned a lifetime of struggling to survive into a one of appreciation and gratitude!

Junie Swadron, Author and Creative Writing Mentor, says,

I sat aghast as well as in awe as I listened to Deb’s stories and how she not only survived the past, but how she transformed her entire attitude to bring herself into a state of love, peace and full acceptance. She is a true survivor.

Level two Of Jaw Release begins immediately on floor mats with a guided check-in to connect and focus on personal sensing.   In re-attaching ones head to core movements the Jaw Release Awareness through Movement® lessons are designed to draw ones attention to the rotation triangles of  the head, arms and shoulders.  It starts with the farthest point from the body – ones hands!  Quite interesting to think about how one’s hands are connected to one’s jaw.  In particular when during one’s lifetime the focus is on isolating ones mouth with attention only on the placement of  teeth!

This would be a great workshops for your Dentist office employees!

Below is a description to the  three parts to the workshop:   Re-attaching Head for Whole Movement in Jaw Release.

  • First Movement Focus in Re-attaching Head for Jaw Release

Attention is first drawn to the movement in ones extremities,  the farthest parts from the  body core.  It begins with the joints in one’s thumb and fingers, before moving closer inward to ones shoulder and spine to sense and notice movement in ones palms, hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders.fingers-to-thumb by Renee Lindstrom

  • Second Movement Focus in Re-attaching Head for Jaw Release

Movement then shifts into ones shoulders, ribs , spine, neck and head beginning with sensing and noticing regular up and down motions of ones breathing pattern.   The integration of further patterns creates ease in rolling ones head left and right that includes a short introduction to synchronizing movements in rolling ones head forward and back in time with ones pelvis.body-bending-rotation by Renee Lindstrom

  • Third Movement Focus in Re-attaching Head for Jaw Release

The first two parts of the Jaw Release Workshop is designed to increase one’s sensing skills so  that in the third part the movement patterns one begins to sense the differences within ones mouth and how the jaw  and neck moves in time with one’s tongue!Jaw & Tongue by Renee Lindstrom

This program is suitable for all ages in all situations.  These movement patterns can be restorative or for learning to improve your functions.  Can be taken into the office  and schools for increasing brain function and reducing distractions.  It is the natural next step to mindfulness training however, it is based on the real function of one’s senses so opens a new one to a new experience.  An experience of being present in action; walking, talking, thinking, being!

Excellent for improving ones abilities and experiences such as for those chronic sufferers of TMJ or to:

  • reduce neck, jaw, shoulder pain
  • neck and shoulder release
  • clear nasal passages and open air ways
  • reduce fear
