The entrance is important to a home or business. It is the primary entrance for wind (feng shui) to enter that fills the home with vitality. The front door is considered the mouth of chi (energy). The purpose of enhancing one’s entrance is to draw in the energy of prosperity and abundance.

The front entrance of your home or business will reflect the experience of the occupants or business, whether that is failure or success!

In an earlier post we mentioned how important it was to have the front door visible to the street by drawing attention to it. Now we are sharing how to use the cardinal directions to enhance the front doors placement.

A south facing front door is considered to have a yang (masculine) quality to it. This quality is sometime described as the sun and it reflects summer or high noon.

This direction is the fame doorway and it represents reputations and recognition. The South is considered the fire element which can be reflected by the shape of a triangle or in the colors of red, purple, dark yellow, deep orange and pink.

A south east facing front door is considered to have a yang (masculine) quality to it. This direction reflects spring becoming summer and late morning.
