Awareness through Mental & Emotional Health: Cultural Conditioning & Elitist Mentality of Addictions

Influences in Health, Knowledge, Fame, Relationships, Community, Future, Career, Wealth, and Past Life Areas

One of the first introductions into energy work, with a focus on how to direct the energies as a healer, was understanding the chakra energy centers. Before the focused study of somatic empathy, there was no structure. Without knowledge, there is a huge opportunity to be taken advantage of which is a common experience in our society.  Unfortunately, it includes those closest to us as well as being further out in the community circles.  The Chakras are a nice introduction to the influences of manipulation.

When first delving into this skill development it was unfamiliar and shared in a way that I was led to believe it was energetic manipulation by some negative energy purposely out to harm.  It was a different interpretation of right and wrong thinking like in the differentiation of god and the devil reflects right and wrong.  Everyone’s dialogue had a focus on some outside influence that was evasive and not centered.  I share this as this is an example of gaslighting to a somatic empath.  A somatic empath’s perception is of the reality of the experience at the moment, not some elusive concept.  They can feel the blocked chakras in themselves and others.  They can energetically feel the addictions others have and their own.  It is not some outside force.  It is an inside response to an outside stimulus.  An adult has free will and choice.  No one forces them to enter into an experience that leads them into their addictions. Adults may not be equipped with all the information they need to make fully informed decisions but they do have intuition and a value system of some kind has been modelled for them at some point in their lives.  The value system may not have been formal, however, someone knows the second they enter into an activity that seems edgy knowing it is unethical or immoral.  Most of these activities are such that they become serious addictions.  That’s the point.  To get you addicted as under that influence you are easy to control.  Especially if you have low self-esteem, low willpower and lack courage.

To understand these experiences I began my journey as a healer through hands-on healing.  First through attunements and Reiki which shifted after connection with Trangu Rinpoche whose contact with me opened my hand chakras to such a degree that attunement and Reiki energies seemed weaker for me.  Also, I had long dropped the authority components as influences over me in positions of perceived power that need to be held in high regard to operate within a system of entrapment.  Being in a position of authority is something you have inside yourself in my opinion, or have the ability to develop.  It’s not someone outside you follow as they believe they are an authority which I call elitism.

This perspective for me extends to false philosophies of the obscure. Luckily this perspective led to actionable lifestyle educational programs that dropped the outside energy attachments and developed patterns for physical, mental and emotional function in alignment that strengthens willpower through clean and more precise actions.  By clean I am not comparing to addictions, but rather in the moment through the pattern of how information comes in through a person’s filter of senses and travels through the brain before thinking begins.  The physical body responds long before the mental thinking can grasp and understand the stimulus.  This is the gold at the core of origins that this somatic empath has found through the integration of her studies and practice.  This is the focus of her perception and opportunities.  It creates autonomy and independence in those situations that influence others somatically and lead them into a lifestyle they never anticipated finding themselves in, however, lusted after once introduced. The lust is somatic. Somatic is the first point of communication.  If you’re not tapped into what it means you end up, where?  Usually a complete loss of everything you have and stood for and in the most unethical and immoral patterns of behaviour.  The mental concepts of it are projections and as bad an influence when not soundly connected at the core of a value system.  This is my perspective based on over three decades of focus, study and practice.  I created these images to visually observe the differences in these energy centers that reflect sensations.  The purpose was for education and as a tool to notice patterns somatically with no stories.  We do not hold stories in our body parts, however, stories will influence how we contract and hold our body parts.  The stories replace the events that actually happened and come back to abuse you over and over each time you tell it to yourself.  It becomes a postural pattern.  A postural pattern is not from one story.  It is not caused by one story.  It is a reaction to events, many of them over a lifetime.  They become the justification of what we do and why.  It’s the blame and shame justification behaviour we have been taught in early childhood education.

This early childhood education is cultural conditioning that predisposes us to act unethically. By adulthood with no training in personal behaviour, leads to what is being modelled in the United States today with the current Court Case against Sean Diddy Combs. In his example, there is evidence coming into the mainstream media of how he obtained power over others through coercion, drugs and promises of wealth. It’s a powerful lesson for all societies currently not preoccupied with war and devasting natural events and have a mask of peace and unity. The patterns emerging from Diddy’s reign of power also happen in smaller communities like ours. It is not an isolated incident. It’s just a different community group with addictions.

The great news is that the stronghold of elitism can be shifted with skill development and retraining of the responses to stimulus. Some call it retaining the brain yet that’s an elusive statement, yet it is precisely what can happen as long as analysis and moral judgements stay out of it. Those are best left for the press conference but not great for the learning environment. That’s the unlearning that needs to take place from my experience. It’s the component that leads to the sex addictions, the drug addictions, the eating addictions, gambling addictions and more…..

Somatic behaviour focus can redirect attention away from labels, being diagnosed & judged Such as word addictions with too many analytical definitions & moral judgements

I do not often use the word addictions. Only recently have I used it in my posts. I don’t let it influence my personal or group lessons. It is such a distracting word with so many changing definitions and a word that is normally very personal to the person speaking it into life, or listening to someone else speaking it to life. What I focus on is the instinct that turns one towards an addictive quality. For me the instinct is triggered by survival. An easy example is sex.  Sex is a basic need in the base level of needs along with water, food, shelter, air. If someone is operating under anxiety, stress, fear, or anger emotions it will trigger an instinctual reaction. In this example it would be self soothing through basic intercourse without much meaning, other than relief.  However, the urge in the gut is often still there during and after. If one increases sleep patterns, eats healthy, and starts to experience self fulfilling needs being met, including meaningful relationships, the instinctual need to self sooth shifts as the survival instinct diminishes. This doesn’t mean one loses their sex drive, it just shifts it into more meaningful interactions. This self soothing example can be replaced with the actions of gambling, drinking, drugs, smoking, food, etc. Often the focus is on the label – addiction, which can shift the mind focus to the past behaviour, memories, or blaming and shaming self and others. If one can capture the moment, there is a felt sense of the instinct that is felt prior to going into the habit of reacting to it. This is a moment to observe what just happened. (Something is happening in the moment of the trigger.)  This can be the point of change. Notice the trigger and instead of going into the strategy for self soothing, one can process the trigger and create inner balance. This is an important skill development.  Leaving it unchecked creates a type of random chaos either by oneself, or others who have clued in on how to keep one in the agitated state. (Yes, common strategy for others is to redirect someone’s focus of attention to get their own needs met).  The person who introduced this to me, Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., used an example of eating. Often when people become uncomfortable, they will reach for food. He would suggest the person reaching for food to stop and ask themselves if they are hungry, or if something else was instead gnawing at them. Usually, they are not hungry, and this pause to check in is enough to shift the experience to talking about whatever it is that instigated the action of reaching for food. It could be as simple as being asked an uncomfortable question. The trigger is inner conflict. If you disagree with someone, it can cause inner conflict. If you hear a hard to hear message, it can create inner conflict. If someone tries to control you it can cause inner conflict. etc., etc.
