Inside Awareness Learning Center: Grounding Pad when Earthing isn’t an option

Health Life Area

Interacting with people to improve function using somatic movement I have noticed that there is a lack of being in nature with bare feet. This normal activity growing up in previous generations is now called earthing. It is trending as a wellness activity for grounding and improving mental, emotional and physical health. This is a strategy where shoes are taken off to put bare feet on the ground for twenty or more minutes a day. It is suggested that this strategy will reduce chronic pain, increase sleep and energy, lower stress, balance circadian rhythms and slow down aging.

This activity may not be available for students who have mobility restrictions and for those working long hours at a desk. I have learned that a grounding mat can support these people who cannot be outdoors. Reading about its potential I have read that while using the grounding mat one can reset their biological rhythms using the negative charge of electrons of the earth. There is a suggestion that these electrons increase antioxidants and neutralize free radicals.

From a Feng Shui perspective this grounding mat would be useful to balance out the electrical exposure from from all the devices and Wi-Fi waves.

Two popular grounding products are a grounding mat and a grounding sheet. The mat can be used under ones desk to rest feet on or on the desk to rest hands on. The sheet can b used on ones bed to rest on.

I decided to test a mat as I would like to have this type of tool to recommend for those who are not getting out into nature often. I found it easy to set up. It was a plug that goes into the electrical ground outlet that snaped to sheet or pad that has silver through it to conduct the negative charge. This same post can be pushed directly into the ground which is a nice alternative. The person who came up with this concept created their own with wire and a metal infused tape. He pushed the wire into the ground and attached it to the silver infused tape. The tape went across his bed. He came up with the idea after becoming ill with a serious condition. It made a difference in his condition that led him to follow it up with scientific studies.

Even though it suggested not to lay on it all night when first getting it, I didn’t listen. The suggestion was to use it during the day for shorter periods. So by not listening I was up all night. lol. My system is a-typical. I can’t take any sleep formulas. If I do I am wakeful all night, while others are put to sleep. It’s an energy thing. However, following their suggestions and only using it during the day for shorter periods it has improved the quality of my sleep.

Pictured above is a grounding sheet. I put my crystals on it during the full moon transition. I am not able to put them outside on the earth. Before and after I used dowsing rods to measure the field of the sheet and crystals. The field tripled outwards and upwards.
