The origins of life are health and well-being. This applies to people, places and things. A person, family group, organization, business, community and country will express and experience all areas of life through the core dynamics of health. If the core is healthy, all other life areas will reflect this through ambition, balance and vitality that will attract opportunities, experiences and challenges. However, all life areas will influence, stimulate and reflect the health balance of the core experience and each unique life area. The life areas of; wealth, fame, relationships, past, future, higher education, career and community. All eight regions are influenced by health and well-being, and all eight regions stimulate health and well-being.

Inside Awareness educational programs focus on the constitutional level of health and well-being through all contributing factors of the surrounding life regions. The program’s objectives are to learn and balance the eight regions to improve the health and well-being of each life area reflected on the grid.

The foundational focus at Inside Awareness is easily transferable from a personal experience to a community one. All contributing factors to lifestyle health and wellbeing are similar in principle, yet unique in their applications.

The attention in the health area is on function and the contributing factors that reflect its presenting experience. The health experiences in people, places and things range from dull to vibrant, or resistant to flexibility.

The educational program components encompass physical function, expression, contributing influences and the landscape. For individuals, the focus in the learning program would center on the unique characteristics with a view to the contributing factors influencing those characteristics. This may be a physical, functional or personal expression. This same attention would be given to two or more people, yet it would encompass the group as the origins of focus and how the contributing factors influence it. This includes a learning component for the single unit within the group experience.

The health and wellness learning programs are founded on the functional integration of somatic experience. This includes functional movement, behaviour and contributing factors to increasing the potential for functionality. The methods are unique as the core focus of attention is on harnessing mindfulness in active engagement. Unlike mindfulness meditation or an organized modality like therapy or Kinesiology, Inside Awareness is mindful of full function at the moment as it is experienced. These methods are not in competition or comparable. It is a higher educational offering that broadens the spectrum of contributing influences in life and work experience.

Environmental Stimulus to Health and Wellness of society, people, places and things

A healthy life depends upon cultivating awareness of function:   

The programs at Inside Awareness for Integrative Somatic Learning have three foundational layers in its’ unique learning structure. that has a focus on health and well-being as the core intention. The first layer is the foundational level, followed by the middle way, and then finally the physical function expression.

  1. Foundation:

The foundational layer explores a healthy body, sound emotions and expanding mental clarity.

The foundation has a focus of attention on:

  1. A Healthy Body (physical safety)
    • To feel safe, the physical function needs food, water, and shelter 
  2. Sound Emotions (emotional safety: empathy, compassion, understanding, belonging)
    • Sound Emotions need balanced Relationships, nurturing, and loving kindness
  3. Mental (mental safety: learning to go beyond emotions into clarity, recognition and intention)
    • Mental functions need learning and education to change old social conditioning patterns of fear, anxiety and evaluative expressions like right and wrong thinking

2. Middle Way

The middle way explores the core triggers of behaviour and reaction through the felt senses physically, and met or unmet needs in the filtering process to find clarity and understanding of one’s habitual reactive behaviour to transform it into conscious responses.

  1. Functional Integration: mental, emotional, physical and *spiritual balance

*spiritual balance at this level of integration is a *value-based system of education

  • Cultivating Wisdom (functional awareness and cultivating intention physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually
    • Manifesting intention through human function through movement, speaking, hearing self and others, processing emotions mindfully and feeding the body (food and conditioning in the environment)

      • Somatic dialogue integration will expand the focus to include a heart-centred approach that increases connection, clarity, and respect. It brings manners into dialogue habits.

Awareness through Nature is an experiential learning topic here at the Inside Awareness Center for Integrative Somatic Learning that has a focus on exploring the growing plant benefits to enhance one’s lifestyle through the natural ingredients they contain that can be foraged and harvested for direct consumption or encapsulation, ground into leaves for tea and infused into topical applications like poultices, ointments, skin and hair products.
