The Community life area experience has an environmental influence expressed in the other life areas of health and well-being, career, knowledge, past, relationships, fame, wealth and abundance.
The community groups can be described as different layers of people in one’s experience. Layers of people who start closer to the center, like family groups, and extend outward to include acquaintances through work, hobbies or focused groups. This is an important consideration in family, friendship and working groups. The reason for developing clarity on the layers of experience is for discretion and appropriate sharing. Often, someone who gossips will do so for influence that will extend to casual acquaintances, where it begins causing harm to themselves and others. Especially as gossip generally fails to contain facts. People who gossip make up stories and do so for status, to deflect responsibility for their actions or lack of abilities. Out-of-control gossiping can often be due to a lack of impulse control not learned in early childhood. It’s a gap in learning that can be a new building block in relationship education for learning at any age.
An example of the need for educational models focused on community leadership development
This is especially important with the changing brick-and-mortar model in a business where homes, families and careers are colliding through enmeshed lifestyles.
- Where do employees end with health boundaries, and families begin in small operations to ensure the health of each community separately?
- How does a family prepare for privacy and security, enabling them to maintain healthy boundaries, ensuring continuous support and guaranteeing their choices are sound and not influenced unknowingly?
The same enmeshment can be experienced in the work environment of brick-and-mortar organizations, where employees, like children who become authorities over their parents, assume authority in the management and administration end of the operation, often leading to disharmony and conflict between the working community that can create resistance and conflict with Supervisors and upper Management. Both these possible experiences described are more common than not. It affects the health and well-being of individuals and families, or working groups. The focus of attention is often on what’s wrong, who is doing what and how it should be done, rather than the individual job descriptions. It is limiting the growth and development of the family, business or friendship groups.
Community Leadership Programs
Inside Awareness Community Leadership Programs focus on cultivating awareness of the environmental influences on the health and well-being of the community and individuals within the community. The three foundational learning focuses are: communication development, functional behaviour influences and environmental stimulus. These three foundational pillars are the contributors to the conscious or unconscious landscape of the group and are reflected through relationships, planning and achievements
