ATE: Ongoing goals of starting point to eating for all moving parts

The only way to change is action  

Introducing foods that are full of nutrition and fibre can change craving experiences and food choices.  These foods satisfy different functioning parts of one’s body leaving satisfied feelings.  This naturally leads one to begin noticing that they aren’t reaching for certain foods or having thoughts of going out to eat.  The purpose of ATE is specifically to develop this somatic experience versus seeking solutions.  The difference is one shifts a lifestyle and the other focuses upon solutions.

ATE: 4th starting point to eating for all moving parts

Shifting one’s focus from seeking answers to action is the integrative experience.

For example, many have been told they are allergic to goods, however they are not told that by eliminating those foods they are losing a variety of nutritional values.  These lost nutrients are not replaced and after years physical, mental and emotional capacity is diminished. The biggest example I have come across is feeding the brain.  Nutrition for the brain  is not a consideration when eliminating dairy, meat and grains.  What many are hearing and reading is how unhealthy foods are  rather than what nutritional values they have and how they influence their ability to function.

The only way to change is action

ATE: 3rd starting point to eating for all moving parts

This third starting point goal is a highly recommended one for reducing inflammation from the inside out.  My experience is that it also reduces pain levels.  For me this first drink in the a.m., helped to clear a foggy brain which was a surprising benefit.  My intention for starting this practice was to support digestion, transform stomach acid to alkaline and speed up my metabolism.

Benefits of turmeric:

In Ayurvedic medicine turmeric has been used for generations to support joint mobility, digestion, and circulation.  Current articles suggest it is useful for arthritis, improving brain function and in cancer research.

Turmeric is a source of curcumin which is a powerful anti-inflammatory and a strong antioxidant. However curcumin is  poorly absorbed into the bloodstream on its own.  To harness its benefits the use of black pepper is recommended as it can increase curcumins bioavailability.

Anything that can reduce chronic inflammation is important in preventing and  treating any condition and disease resulting from chronic inflammation.  I have begun to read more articles that suggest curcumin blocks NF-kB, a molecule that travels into the nuclei of your cells and turns on genes related to inflammation. NF-kB is believed to play a major role in many chronic diseases.

Many write about how curcumin is a strong antioxidant which reduces free radicals while stimulating one’s own body antioxidant defences.  Free radicals contribute to aging and many diseases.

Lately articles are suggesting that a type of growth hormone know as BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) that functions in your brain benefits from curcumin.  It seems to raise the levels of BDNF which lessens the effects of depression and Alzheimer’s disease.

ATE: 4 more starting points to eating for all moving parts

This second starting point goal is an important consideration.  As a child I remember having dinner at 5 p.m. and then not eating until the following morning at 7 a.m.  This is a 14 hour period of not eating and was a learned behaviour until I had children of my own and chose to demand breastfeed.  This choice led to an absence of time breaks between meals that eventually contributed to weight gain as I aged and my metabolism slowed down.

These hours between dinner and breakfast are now trending as intermittent fasting.  This is an example of something old becoming new again.  If you consider the root cause it is about unconsciously changing habits.  For me, as a practitioner, it is about commitment and action, not a trend.  If one commits, takes action and then repeats it for a little as one to two weeks it can form a new learned behaviour and lifestyle habit.

The only way to change is action

ATE: Starting points to eating for all moving parts

An eating plan to stimulate an increase in function mentally emotionally, physically and spiritually can be as simple as introducing new food habits that support an assortment of nutritional needs.  Each functioning part needs different types of minerals and vitamins for health and wellness.

  • Food choice has a direct influence on emotional states
  • Food choice has a direct influence on mental function  
  • Food choice has a direct influence on physical function

Left brain dieting solutions

From personal experiences I have become aware of how learning influences for eating plans have focused on eliminating foods and shifting ones diet.  These eating plans are either current trends with a single focus of losing weight and the education focus is on solutions to fix a problem.   This educational messaging is left-brain dominant which means it’s organized to fix a problem.  The learning message;  health is reflected by one’s self-image.  One comes away with the universal message that they don’t fit into society’s perception of health that is based upon looks.

Balancing brains 2 sides to increase functional health & wellness

Right brain eating plan than harnesses the focus of one’s left brain abilities

What if one could retrain how they focus the left brain’s qualities of  efficiency in a way that increases joy, connection and stimulates an inner radiance?  A right brain focus is on one’s functional experience and is designed to activate and develop one’s  awareness skills.  This right brain pathway engages one’s senses for perceiving an experience that includes the discernment abilities of the left brain.

The difference of these two ways is that one is focused upon outside influences and memorization of facts as told by merchants and media, and one is on inside  experiences and learning through exploring them.

The differences in these two styles of  learning 

The dominant left brain focus is more likely to remain as mental concepts that stays in the thinking process and focused upon self-judgments.   It is more difficult to integrate into an evolving lifestyle as there is no period of integration of new conscious habits.  Ones that have been recognized through experiences.  The  focal point is upon either being wrong, or something is wrong and this formula is for fixing that problem.

The right brain focus that has inclusion for left brain activities is more likely to shift habits and result in lifestyle changes.  This way is more time and financially efficient.  It reduce effort and creates a mindfulness state of being as one thoughts are redirected to exploring new experiences.
