Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984) was a mechanical engineer who continued his education.  He went on to receive his Doctor of  Science from the University of Paris while playing semi-professional soccer and practicing judo. These focal points of Moshe’s education has been important to the elder teachers in the Feldenkrais community as a way to explain and give credible scientific  meaning to the  comprehensive self-study of patterns that is the focus point of this educational method that Moshe modeled.  The Feldenkrais® Method is a method of LEARNING, which uses simple, gentle body movements as the means of developing self-awareness. It is widely used by musicians, singers, actors, dancers, and athletes, the Feldenkrais® Method has been shown to have therapeutic benefits and complements medical care.
