Current understanding of human function seems to lack the knowledge of how each body of function is interrelated. This creates a gap of in one’s ability to regulate reactions and remain balanced, leading to system malfunctions (reactions).
Mentoring students for the past decade and a half I have witnessed students mental and emotional health suffer when they have a dominant focus on a physical self image. They may act from a place of strong beliefs regarding body image that leads to emotional aggression in relationships. Their self-image beliefs escalate conflict inside and out.
Renee has created a model for integrating functional bodies for easy reference when learning how to understand the function of reaction through an explanation of the individual moving parts in the process of responding. This is a practical understanding that leads to skill development for balancing behaviours. It replaces labels, expectations and judgments that can escalate random and reactive behavior with self-discovery and exploration that de-escalades behaviour while creating a space for better choices.
Since 2007 Renee has employed methods to support the creation of personal balance and inner harmony at home, work or at play. They integrate the Bodies of Function whether the gateway session is focused upon movement, relationships, or environment. This concept easily translates into individual coaching, mentoring, and group learning events.
More in-depth learning about the Body of Functions is incorporated into the Intermediate Awareness through Communication teachings and deepened in Intensive Embodied Mentoring Programs
Guidance through simple change agent action steps can harness ones power of learning to retrain mental, emotional and physical behaviours.
