Why? As new beginnings are best expressed in a growing moon phase, not a declining one!
At the beginning of each year I follow the simple exercises in ‘Achieving your Goals,’ which has 31 tips for manifesting one’s goals through connecting their intention with their surroundings. Not only do these steps cultivate awareness of the influences of the environment, it increases the bond with it. Redirecting one’s focus through simple actions steps in their immediate space can increase hopefulness which reduces depressed type feelings. Something we weren’t taught in school is how the environment helps to shape our emotional tones. It certainly is a contributor.
An example of one simple task is the first one. It focuses on one’s front door area. Imagine this area as the entrance of all energies that enter into your home or business. The front door entrance is called the “mouth of chi.” Anyone entering into the space brings in their own energies and then they are immediately influenced by the visual and felt experiences of the front entrance. This includes you! The tone of the experience is affected by this experience. Setting a new intention at the door for the new year is an important exercise in having an environment that works with you.
Todays simple exercise is to visual your window reflections as the eyes of the space. What vision do you have for your space this coming year? I usually consider qualities versus material things. Such as, kindness, joy, abundance, ease, health and wellbeing, etc. The windows in your home or workspace are the reflections of how you are recognized in the world.
The only way to change is action
