Today’s moon travels into its first new moon cycle here in the Pacific Northwest at 9:00 p.m., this evening in the sign of the sign of Capricorn. Today the moon is in the same star formation as the sun. These solar influences suggest a need for focus on the balance in one’s home and work experience. This is certainly relevant for the global experience!
There is also potential for these solar influences to easily stimulate emotions and reactions making it a good time to set intentions for the next couple of days. With this potential for being easily triggered a commitment to setting an action plan reduces the likelihood of being victim to this random chaos of environmental influences. Especially the elusive effects of the gravitational pull of the moon, earth and sun.
Tips for staying focused during today and tomorrows new moon
Bookend your days
- Write out three things you would like to accomplish today.
- As you complete each one, pause and take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate your achievement. (Even if it is simply a clean up job)
- At day’s end consider your to do list and acknowledge both the completed tasks and incomplete ones. Add the incomplete ones to tomorrow’s goals while tapping into your inner celebration for the ones you completed.
These simple steps will encourage new inner patterns that will lead to increasing one’s level of tolerance, and reduce the range of anxious emotions. It will help one in sleeping more soundly and may increase mindfulness in ones moment to moment experiences.
